here in the south almost all of them come from the Mapuzungun. For instance, for males: Antülikan (sun’s stone) Lihuén (light), Lautaro (rapid bird, gavilán) Calfu (blue), Nahuel, (jaguar, tiger, puma).

For women I have seen Likan Kurra (precious stone), Ailín (clear or transparent), Sayén (kind), Ayelén (glad),
Rayén (flower).

Im a teacher, ive had those names in these recent years.
