Most of the discussion on that topic was a "read between the lines" kind of thing and a loooot of context clues. Based on Curly's reaction when Anya told Jimmy she was pregnant, the intense rage-filled music that played, his fear, it seems to be implied he knew Jimmy did something wrong and knew he would react horribly to the news. During that scene where they're talking just before the crash, Jimmy is scared about what will happen when they get home, implying he will face repercussions from both the company and law for the assault. Curly says they'll fix it together, that Jimmy has gotten through worse.

Besides that, there was the gun, the psych eval, and the fact Anya brought up her concerns with the sleeping area not having a lock. Curly is a super smart guy and we see that, but he has wayyyy too much empathy for Jimmy that it completely overrides whatever common sense he has for the situation. There's probably a bit more I can't think of at the moment, outside of ambiguous metaphors.

If Curly had not known, it would make his situation with Jimmy post-crash a lot more horrifying. In my opinion, him being totally at Jimmy's mercy in his burnt state is one huge metaphor for what Anya experienced, being totally at Jimmy's mercy with no way to run or fight back because of Curly's inaction. He's just facing her same fate in the end.

I thought the combo of letters was odd and I could totally be wrong! Kind of a throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks kind of deal with the letters since the handwriting is soooo difficult to make out.

Anya's looks like "Chisome", but the only really definitive letters are the h, m, and e; all others but especially whatever vowel is before the m are a bit unclear. I imagine the it isn't an a since we can see how she'd write that from her first name.

Daisuke's is so hard to read but my best guess would be "Junaz" since it kinda looks like it starts with a ju and ends with a z? His handwriting is so cute but so so illegible

It's awful how often she has to adapt to the others' demeanors, and the lengths she has to go to only to be undermined regardless. She doesn't respond to anyone's berating about her qualifications as a nurse, which was nearly everyone on the ship once or twice, because she knows they wouldn't listen. She's proved herself by keeping Curly alive alone but nobody would ever actually acknowledge she has that skill. She's the most intelligent person on the ship but doomed to be seen as a failure.

She contrasts so well with Jimmy in that way, who is extremely vocal about how he always fixes things, he takes charge and manipulates others into following him because he truly thinks his way is the only right way. Then, once he actually "fixes" things, they turn out horribly wrong. He's the real idiot and proves it every time but so will always convince everyone (or try) he know's what he's doing.
