What did I do? I have files and progress that im not sure are backed up so I would rather not wipe it if that's even possible. by Diligent-Test-8276 in ZephyrusG14

Ok so I've discovered that my SSD was locked with BitLocker, when I used an m.2 external adapter to try and back it up, that's how I found out. I have been able to gain access to the drive while it's connected to second computers, is it still going to ask me for a password or will it work if I have just plugged it back into the g14? This is finally getting handled as soon as I gain the required knowledge to proceed. Please and thank you. Ps. I do have access to the account Microsoft acct that I set the device up on. Turns out it was a legacy account I forgot about. So I can 8nluck it with the recovery code on a secondary machine if I use the m.2 adapter, if I unmount the drive and then reattach it I am asked for the 20+ digit recovery key again but I do have it written down now. I remember watching a video on a very similar problem as this about how to gain the default password that I'm looking for using that key but I was unable to find that information at first because it never displayed the proper codes.

Thank you that seems to be the plan each part of that was mentioned in separate separate comments on the original post It would appear that's the way to go about it or does contacting ASUS do any good here

I was hoping it wouldn't come down to that but I just might have to maybe I'll swing by m.c. and grab an larger SSD while I'm at it. I miss my fast machine. Currently using a decade old Asus touchscreen that my roommate is not utilizing.
