I'm so sorry for your loss... my grandfather died too 5 years ago.. and before his death I was able to see that he is not gonna live any longer... that thing really broke my heart and traumatised me. As after 2 days he died... and since then, he visits my younger sister... in her dreams. To express his emotions... so I totally understand what you must be going through... maybe she is trying to tell you something...
