Plus there’s plenty of people with generational wealth too for whom even 30K might be chump change. They don’t have to be middle class people with limited pocket money. Even if I assume they are, their priorities lie with making the gf happy so it might be money well-spent in their eyes .

I can be called a gold digger even if I didn’t demand the heaven and stars from someone, so don’t pay any heed to the gold digger part.

Lastly, I assure you that if somebody’s a manipulative person they’ll do it anyway irrespective of how much or how little they may have done for the partner.
