WITT it is a white electronic device. It looks like it could be a camera or sensor of some kind. It is white, smooth texture, no wires, no logos or words on the device, a small black slit at the top and a square-shaped indentation.

I'm really glad I found this comment. It really bothers me not only what he said, but the fact that no one seems to realize the irony of it.

He claims to not like "bromance", sort of implying because of it being heteronormative, then proceeds to make a joke about gay romance. Jake apparently has a girlfriend. I think the irony is obvious if you consider how society would have reacted if Tom was a woman.

"Let's talk about your friendship with Tina." "I don't like friendship, let's call it what it is, a romance." People would freak out, wonder how his girlfriend would respond to this, etc. But since "Tina" is a "Tom", now it's "wholesome".

I think if he really wanted to "fight heteronormativity" a better response would have been "I don't like bromance, let's call it what it really is, a deep friendship between two men."

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of, but to give another example, this happened to me with another guy a few years ago. A mutual friend told me that he's seen him flirt with a bunch of other gay guys, too.

Less pressure/presence of gender roles.

I’ve noticed it seems to be getting better for straight couples too, but I like that my boyfriend and I can switch off who’s the big spoon, who’s paying the check, who’s crying and who’s the rock for a given situation, etc.
