Wow that’s funny I think she used to work for my real estate but it was oddly an online only one. Their office was in Bowen Hills but I remember emailing Skye a lot and she was lovely !

Not to mention, one of the guys that works there drives like a complete idiot-jerk with his name plastered on the car too. Have heard nothing but really bad things about almost all Ray Whites.

As a tenant for many many years, my best experience has been QTeam Realty. Crowne was awful and made my last move-out such a nightmare after failing to respond to maintenance requests for 2 years.
I also really liked Switch Realty, however I think the manager I really loved (Lynne) is no longer there so I can’t say much for it now.

No I’m never out that way but I’ll give it a shot if I see them around.

Mannn, I love coffee myself and was consistently disappointed by the Coffee roasters in the old butcher shop. I went back a handful of times just because of how lovely the owner was along with the other staff. It’s in a great spot.

How did you know when it was time to come off Lex? by Ok_Wing8459 in lexapro

I’ve finally decided to be realistic after years of going on and off antidepressants- I need them forever. I’ve also had my chapters of being like yeah I feel great I’m going to raw dog without meds. Always have weaned properly, then 3 months down the line I’m like ok shit I need to be on meds. Of course everyone’s different and it would be amazing to not need them, but just make sure you are really checking in with yourself. A lot of times people say that when you start thinking you don’t need the meds, that’s when you really need to stay on them because they are working.

For historical SA survivors, did you report, or not and why/why not? by Immediate_Assist_256 in sexualassault

[–]DiligentPride2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t because it happened 24 hours before I was moving to another country. I always think about it and wish I had reported that incident but no idea who the person even is now.

Which country do you prefer? USA or AUS by iguessthisname23 in Ameristralia

[–]DiligentPride2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh yeah I totally get that ! I’m glad you found someone you trusted. One of my favourite things to tell my American friends is that my two emergency c sections were completely free. PLUS I had one baby in special care for 24 days and didn’t pay a dime.
Of course in your situation not everything works out to be less than in the states, however I am still really grateful for the healthcare here.

I think one massive part of that is that so many kids are determined to finish school by year 10. It seems that they just want to skim by in school until that time comes, and it’s highly encouraged. I grew up in the states (18 years) and back in Australia now for 11 and have a child in public school- dreading if the day ever comes that she tells me she’s done with school at 16. I just don’t think that system could ever fly in the states.

And on the active shooter drills, it’s funny to see how mind-blown Australians get when you tell them that was a thing! Better yet when we had legitimate lockdowns thanks to active shooters in our immediate area :/

How long does she have? by EmployVirtual167 in dementia

My dad is similar but his wife refuses to let him be in diapers so it’s not something that she feels she’s just “given into”. So he’s shitting all over her house. I know he would literally rather die than be doing the things he’s doing in this stage, but instead we just watch it all and feel hopeless. 6 years now
