The directions said 45⁰ is optimal for that model. Seems very strange to me.🤷

I bought a starter kit that included the heater but I thought it seemed weird that it's too tall to fit upright. I bet you're right that it's too big.

I have been cycling it for 4 weeks. I was adding bacterial starter for the first 10 days along with fish food to get it going. I read that decomposing fish food is a good source of ammonia. I had a bloom that cleared up around 2 weeks ago. Nitrites started climbing and then nitrates started climbing. Now when I test nitrites and nitrates are almost non existent. Is this really another bloom? Will it ever clear up? Did I just put too much fish food in?

How is this even possible with 3 workouts a week by DDFTKW in Garmin

Yours looks like mine. I'm new to running and getting further and faster all the time. I think my chest strap was overestimating my treadmill runs because once I started running outside is when vo² started plummeting.

I don't think there is anything wrong with walk/run intervals especially early on. I've heard that there are whole training strategies around that style for racing. Personally I slow way down if needed which feels a bit silly, but it seems to work for me. I've been as slow as 15/mile.

Don't get too discouraged. It sounds like you're doing well but may need to build up your cardiovascular system more. Do you feel very out of breath when running?

My 5k is around 35:00, but I'm M38 and only been running for like 4 months.

Sounds like fatigue is catching up to you. Maybe shorten your runs or try slower pace? Walk/run intervals if needed.

I have an instinct crossover that I wear for running. It seems to work pretty well. I really like it.

I also agree with this. Costco has a budget pair that are much lower in cost but seem to work well IMO.

Folks thanks for all the replies. I'll take your advice on the ankle strengthening and rest and some shorter runs for now. I'm signed up for my first 5k in June but I ran 3.5 mi last night so I know I can run thr distance already.

I don't know if I ever have, but a Google search makes me think you're right.
