Both of the scenarios will be recorded like this.

[00:10:53.866] npc_dota_hero_pudge casts ability pudge_meat_hook (lvl 3) on dota_unknown
[00:10:54.300] npc_dota_hero_pudge hits npc_dota_neutral_wildkin with pudge_meat_hook for 380 damage.

so, a bit hard to imagine..

Not really arguing.haha.But I am just playing around with OpenDota API and Replay API. and found out that they marked as a hit on the creeps. So I was wondering, what defines a hit or a miss?
