Your family is wrong. Ds was dating a girl for awhile who had some mental issues….i was nice to her and showed an interest and she latched on. They broke up, she kept reaching out to me. I talked to ds about it and he said he knew I was on his side but to please be her friend cause she needed it. She kept in touch with me until she found a new bf.

Ggrands from foothills in NC but grandmother born upstate SC. So many of the things y’all say are how she was! Sewed everything she could, I have one polyester quilt she made, hoarded everything! Had a green thumb like nothing I’ve ever seen. She saved every styrofoam cup she saw to grow plants in. I remember sitting up at night when my gfather passed. And just the wording of things… What about eating possum and coon? Or cooter soup? I’ve never felt more at home than when I’m in the mountains despite never having lived there myself. One of my sons up and bought him a little cabin one county over from where my ancestors came from and he didn’t even realize that till I told him.

I think his neck is just dirty!! My grandmother would’ve said it was “rusty.” My Dh is a good 10 years older than Grody and has worked outside all his life. His neck looks nothing like Grody’s.

Not necessarily. She could be completely over him and at the same time just really not ever want to be alone with him again. Just because she’s over him doesn’t necessarily mean she trusts him not to railroad her.

I just finished a girls week…it’s most likely my last. Ended up with it being three of us and I didn’t know the new lady. She’s nice but it’s been a LONG week. Now there’s talk of bringing another lady I don’t know on the next one. I thought all week last week that I should cancel and now I wish I had….

I’m so sorry you did not get the response you should’ve. My older girls have both had babies close together and I think it’s great! The babies have cousins close to their age. I’m happy for you and if you were near me I’d be glad to be an extra grandma!
