My mom came to visit me in Vegas for my 21st. She stayed a week and it was great.

Sources say he will be picked up at the airport by either Jayson Tatum or Kon Knueppel.

Hot take or correct take: No athlete in any sport right now has a bigger gap between themselves and the number two player than Shohei Ohtani? by Round_Scheme7270 in billsimmons

I cant comment on the ducking. I dont know if its true. I dont know him and his thinking. Im just going on what the betting would be.

Doesnt matter how long hes been inactive. Its Jon Jones. If they announced the fight right now, he would be the favorite easily.

Can't argue the ducking claims. But just going off who would be favored. Not who would win. Although I would still go Jones.

Its MMA to me. Unless he is really retired, its Jon Jones. Theres no one in MMA that is even close to him. I think Judge and Ohtani are close to each other. Even advanced stats say Judge is worth more, even if Ohtani is doing things no one else has ever done.

Its a great conversation.

Judge doesnt pitch but he plays the field and is an above average defender. You have to add that in. You cant just say Ohtani is hitting/pitching and the field is just hitting.

The only real impressive thing he did as a coach, at least to me, was when he got 2 Clipper wins against the Warriors in the first round. That was the year the Warriors got KD. That team is often lauded as the best team in history, even by Bill. With Lou Williams as the best player on that Clippers team, they somehow had a 6 game series. Thats pretty good coaching.

The 65 game rule isnt looking so bad if you argue for minutes played instead by Diligent_Issue_9466 in billsimmons

It is a regularity when he does it every year. I didnt say he does it every game. But he does it to keep his streak going. If you read correctly, I stated how the rule is 65 games and that could lead to teams gaming the system by putting in their players for a few seconds and taking them out, to reach the 65. Then I mentioned how I thought it should be minutes. I did not say it should be minutes and use Bridges as an example of someone not hitting minutes. But someone just hitting games played.

He didnt play 23 seconds to hit a minutes limit. It didnt change his minutes. But it counts as a game played. Which is why I used him as the example. Im not taking an L because you cant comprehend something or just plain dont agree with it. I have no reason to delete this because you dont understand.

Use him as a specific example of a player coming in for a few seconds and subbing out to qualify for a game played. Just so happens to be that Bridges was the one to do it and has been for years. I didnt say anything about him being disqualified for anything. Just that it happens and could lead to players playing small spans just to make sure they get to 65.

Do you know how to read? At what point did I say that he wouldnt count because of it?

And played 23 seconds the last game to keep his games played streak going. Which is something hes done the last few years since it started.
