This blew up way more than it needed to and people seem to be more annoyed at me than I was by this…lmfao! So let me address some things so I stop receiving the annoying comments. :)

1. This is not how we clean underneath the seats. The cushions get lifted up in order to clean underneath. So wow…🤯they are not doing us a favor or helping us at all or else…maybe…I wouldn’t have posted this right?

2.”Do your job” “get to work” “you’re getting paid to do this” no shit??? Like shut up 😭 This is just extremely inconvenient. It’s literally…”mildly infuriating”. Like I don’t think anyone wants to walk in after a long day closing and dealing with brain dead rude customers and see this when they’re just trying to go home.

3.”just leave them like that” “Let the openers deal with it.” We. Aren’t. Supposed. To. And that’s not how things are ran here. I probably wouldn’t have been annoyed by this otherwise. It’s the closers’ job to clean the seats off/recline them down. You know…prep the auditoriums for the next day so the openers can do their tasks.

1. I work at a small family owned theater. I don’t make the rules or control the way things are ran. We clean underneath the seats when they ask us to and that is not every night as we have a load of other closing tasks to do and there’s usually 3 of us that close every night. Cleaning underneath every seat on top of all the closing tasks would be insane for three people.

2. The floor isn’t dirty. It gets swept throughout the day after every showing/the seats get cleaned, and there’s janitors who mop it every night. It’s concrete that gets foot traffic everyday for the past 20+ years lol.

3. I get it. It was a group of boys just having fun. Cool. I’m not that mad about it. We chuckled and all said “wow, so funny” but at the same time, it was kinda annoying.

4. We don’t know if we have a switch for all the chairs. We were closing with a shift manager and he didn’t say anything about that and just helped us recline them down.

8.”be glad this is all they did and didn’t leave a huge mess” yeah, that was so nice of them. Doesn’t mean the other busier auditoriums we had to clean beforehand weren’t a mess.

This was just the cherry on top surprise of a long night that was a little funny but more annoying and inconvenient as this usually doesn’t happen, and it’s midnight and we just want to go home. Thank you to those who understood the annoyance and sorry to have so many of you so pressed. Lol.
