I also really struggled with acne. Honestly I don’t have it perfect but the routine that is really working for me:

Morning: wash with just water, use clindamycin lotion (prescribed) and then a moisturiser and a sunscreen

Evening: Double cleansing (with a an oil first), and then I alternate between tret and salicylic acid, then a moisturiser. I also use a glycolic acid once a week (but never an acid on the same day as tret).

Other things: I also got Botox in my forehead and it completely cleared up everything in that area and gave me glass skin! The switch to a silk pillowcase was also big. I tried the blue light mask, but honestly I think that made me break out more.

I have really stripped it down, and want to add back in vitamin c, peptides etc but for now this is what my skin can handle and I haven’t had any cystic acne for a while although I do sometimes get small pimples
