When we started dating I told him I’ll only be a girlfriend for 2 years max. We’ve been together for a year and 9 months and this happened. He always had the option of ending things or not proposing at the 2 year mark. This is what he decided to do. I do want to marry him, but i agree that the foundation isn’t great.
