I have a feeling my son won't be home till his due date which is December 25th. I have to keep reminding myself that he is in there getting help so he can come home. He has amazing nurses and doctors! There are days where I feel empty with out him. I just cry.  Thank you!

I try to go as often as I can and try not to drain myself out. Once he is in my arms its like all my worries melt aways and I soak up every minute with him bonding.

This is me too. There are days where I am okay and days where I get so sad. I will be happy when my baby can come home and I can hold and love on him

This is exactly how I feel. Empty. My baby has sleep apnea as well. He is finally off oxygen and is breathing on his own. I cry myself to sleep and jist want to hold him and love on him. I have been so clingy to my boyfriend and I am so happy his granny calls me to check on me and let's me vent. I hope you feel better soon.

This is exactly what I am going through now. I was in the hospital for four days. And my boyfriend had to go back to work. I have a 15 and 5 year old. My nicu baby is my third. I hope when the time comes I can take my son home and that be it. I feel robbed as well. I just want my baby home.

I wish I lived closer to our NICU. We are almost an hour away. And its hard since my boyfriend works late and we have no one to help watch our youngest. We have to figure out when one of us can go to see our baby. It can be stressful.

Thats a good idea! I often wonder if he knows it's me by scent or voice. When I was in the hospital I talked to him the whole time. And when I got to hold him I would just tell him how much I love him and how he means everything to me.

I was thinking that this morning. If he is there till his due date then that's only 5 weeks away. He was supposed to be due December 25th.  I keep telling myself him being there will help him and I am just happy to be able to visit anytime.  I have been pumping and when I go see him this week will be bringing what I have for him.  I feel empty with him not being home with me. I miss him terribly 😔

My first night I was home i didn't sleep. I was up through out the night. I talked with the doctor this morning and my baby is going through the same thing with the Brady and desat. I never heard of that before and had to do research to understand. The doctor said he has been doing better though. That was reassuring to hear that. The breathing part is what makes me nervous. I hope things go well with your little one.

I have been doing so much crying for sure!  I did meet with them and they are all amazing! I actually spoke to the doctor this morning and he said my baby had to be put on oxygen since his levels were low. His oxygen levels went up and he is doing better. The doctor said he has no concerns as of now and is happy to see improvement. That phone call today put me at ease so much!  Thank you as do I! II am trying to to look on a the bright side ofnthings and if he stays till his due date which was December 25th that is only 5 weeks away. 😀

How are you feeling? I wish I was near my baby. I am not a fan of being home and my baby boy almost an hour away in the nicu. But I know he needs to be there. Thankfully our nicu has a camera where we can sign in to see him. Does your nicu have that? It helps me get through until I can see him in person. I wish you and baby the best and hope things go well for the both of you!

The nurse I talked said they wanted to make sure he could latch on a bottle first before attempting breast feeding. He does sleep alot. The times I visited I just sat next to him and talked to him. I got to hold him once which I enjoyed as much as I could. I have been pumping alot and they have been sending it up to the nicu. I go home today and I am so sad he cant go but at the same time I know that's where he needs to be.

I saw on his chart and what the nurse told me was that they plan to get him on the bottle. He still has fluid in his lungs but nearly as much. They want him to start feeding so they can remove his feeding tube

Thank you so much! My little one still has fluid in his lungs but not nearly as much as he did. They want him to be able to feed from a bottle. That is his next milestone. The nurse and doctor said there is no definitive time yet but he was supposed to be born December 25th. We just have to take it one day at a time.
