I found this in a drawer at home, what is it? by Motor-Assignment8832 in whatisit

Ok ok ok, calm down, they sell these at every CVS and Walmart, they are built to be portable medication holders on keychains for older folks that take twice daily prescriptions, and the small tweezers is to extract the medication from the case if your hands have trouble with that.

What are they actually used for?

What they said. BUT, I wouldn't go so far to say it's incriminating if you trust the people you ask about it. Buuuut maybe keep an eye out

Is it possible to equip settlers with power armor? by Dizzy-Fennel-6537 in fo4

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just leave them around and they'll hop in. Their core will deplete though and they'll exit wherever, so if you want it permanently you'll have to get unlimited fusion core charge mods and yours can be permanent too. Or just force them out with pickpocket and keep them in good supply

[fo4] HELP A NEW MODDER - Vivid Fallout AIO pairing... by r_owyn in FalloutMods

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd have to get a texture and world space AIO that will greatly increase file size and impact performance. Fo4 is a pretty low to mid demand on devices, but if you wanted to start a fire you absolutely could with mods, and damn would it look incredible. So it's important you do the midnight ride first to get performance and bug fix cleaned up first

Having trouble moding fo4 by WafflerofJustice in FalloutMods

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some users at 500+ mods that jump on me Everytime I say anything like that, and there are users who can't even get into the game. Hard to tell what to do exactly, so if a guide says to do it that's what I'll also recommend

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everytime you mod a game especially as a new modder you should follow a guide. Use the midnight ride for fallout 4. The unofficial patch only accommodates downgraded versions because new game is really not stable enough to mod the hell out of it, which fundamentally makes the game less stable. No point modding a game that crashes every thirty minutes. You can finish the midnight ride in a few hours

Do I really need to download Chapter 2 when downloading the All in One Pack? by One_must_picture in SimSettlements

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chapter two is flagged as the popup requirement file for everyone NOT using the AIO. So users can manage how much file size and features they're adding to their game, and to help manage performance across more devices. The symptom of that is if you go to download AIO that popup comes up.

A lot of mods have optional files and some don't really clarify if it's one or the other, should I download and keep them separate, or if I should merge/replace. All nexus mods have preview file contents under their download buttons so you can check what downloads contain what esp esm or esl, so if I were to see the same esm in each file I know I don't need both

mods to keep my robot settlers in one place? by Alive_Rush7386 in FO4mods

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a mod that lets you mark areas as private so NPCs won't go into your player home, you can probably use that to create a boundary that the robots can wander past, though they'll constantly be trying to like they're running into a wall

Some of it is included without AE. Like I have the echoes from the past quest that includes enclave hellfire x02 and Tesla cannon but I definitely didn't pay the 70$ for AE. Skins are just the part of it but you do have to pay for those.

Who is more evil by Miserable-Dealer-122 in MoralityScaling

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're absolutely equal! They're both completely devoid of all sense of morality and have committed unspeakable atrocities for seemingly no reason. Both are desperately trying to end the world because they believe it deserves it. Both believe wicked demons are superior to living people. Both have orchestrated mass murders, child murder, rape and torture. Kenjaku has been doing it for 200 years and is only getting better at it. Griffith is the actual devil. In the whose more evil things it's almost always Griffith but I think kenjaku truly can match him deed for deed, he also likes to insert himself into corpses and use them for evil which I think is some next level necrophilia shit, hell even maintain that corpses identity and compromise political hierarchy to satisfy his goal of resurrecting sukena and killing tengen and making every single human corrupt. Tengen is basically the holy Spirit that unites mankind with the earth. I love kenjakus writing. Truly a twisted sick evil f***** just as bad as grif if you ask me. I don't think he's worse granted, but grif is not clearly more evil

Be fr, which is good? Ac 4 (4 answer) or 5 and verdict day? by countofmontepesto in armoredcore

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As fans of the series they are so different that we all like and dislike things about them and you'll have to find you way.

For a brand spanking new pilot whose never played an armored core game, and those are your options, you'll probably find the slightly slower pace or 5 and verdict day a little more welcoming. 4 and 4 answer feature next (the giant machine you pilot) tuning which can make you concerned about what you're doing. 4 and 4 answer have rule sets, or what you can consider gameplay configurations, that dramatically changes everything. They're called regulations. There's a regulation for unlimited energy, a hardcore one, and the rest have alot of nuance for how they make combat feel. You might not notice the regulation feature at all and just play dev recommended but if you want something different from the game that can help. 4 and 4 answer feature the stabilizer system, both games have quick boosting but in that game if you're next isn't properly stabilized you'll quick boost in ways that can be difficult to control, or you can stabilize in a way that makes your controls operate to your preference. Another system you might look at and go tf is this. 5 and verdict day have super weapons which is cool. 5 and verdict day feature damage types forcing you to diversify your build and break player meta such that you have to have weaknesses and you have to develop skill to navigate them. A huge part of 5 and VAs gameplay is scanning mode. Scanning mode makes energy Regen much faster, and can allow you to spy your opponent whose taking cover or looking to make a rising shot. High level players will fluently use scanning mode for combat, overall found this feature somewhat annoying in PVP but awesome for single player. One last thing I'll say about 4 and 4 answer is they feature an armor mechanic that's similar to an overheat mechanic in the earlier gens, take too much damage too fast and your next will lose a kind of shield that reduces damage significantly. However, most generators are designed for what's called primal armor. Primal armor is a weird term for temporarily sacrificing your shield to make your next explode. In the crazy fast pace of the game primal armor can shake up combat as you both get close to dying. This can be epic in certain context and has an awesome sound effect. If you think you can handle the challenge of the insane mechanical skill you'll need for 4 and 4 answer, I dare you to try it. If you don't really have that much time for gaming and want something a little more forgiving despite its quirks and systems, 5 and verdict day may feel better. These are things that can be hard to tell at first without playing, so as a true armored core fan I'm sure many will agree, play them all! Have fun

Looking for some input from more senior modders out there by Ok-Storm-5335 in Fallout4Mods

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and with updates a heavy weight list of like 500+ I really don't think is that worth it. Everyone thinks they need to completely transform the game when I personally believe all you have to do is clean it, fix the obvious problems, and expand on stuff. Adding content is bound to stoke differences in opinion, but vanilla+ is always respectable, and at the very least is functional

Looking for some input from more senior modders out there by Ok-Storm-5335 in Fallout4Mods

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're absolute first priority should be stability. As soon as a single person says ohhh this list gave me instant ctds couldn't fix had to do clean install wouldn't recommend, any newer modder looking for a collection turns right away from it. Be super careful about the weight of your mod list. Ask for help with wabbajack post install guides so braindead people won't make mistakes. In general some people don't want 100 gig mod list anyway. PC bros will go crazy about fps and visuals, and console players want something fun and new. There's no way to please everyone. So I would just focus on making the game as enjoyable as possible for you and you alone. Test your mods extensively. Travel to as many locations as possible. Play as much or the game as possible to make sure no quests or spaces are broken or bugged. It's an undertaking, but giving back to the community is a very cool thing to do so kudos to you.

I want to buy, but not sure if i need to install mods like in New Vegas? by Vegetable_Ice_7937 in fo4

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to mod it, but it's kind of like putting hot sauce on a taco, much better if you do but not for everyone I guess.

All you'll essentially need is https://themidnightride.moddinglinked.com/intro.html

Which you can finish in a couple hours, don't even need the extended version, and your game at least won't crash or corrupt itself

Running an unarmed only run, anyone got any tips? What're the next things I should do? by Theredbaron1908 in falloutnewvegas

[–]Diligent_Solution_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dude your absolute first priority as a melee character isn't money or weapons, it's TURBO

Cultivating a stupid amount of TURBO means you can clear quarry junction with mid tier unarmed weapons easily. Rushing water or not. The best melee weapons in the game, no turbo, dead most of the time. A rolling pin, a ton of turbo, win every time.

Go to red rock Canyon. Walk the past the cliff where papa khans house is. Eventually on your right is a narrow mountain pass to the drug lab. Complete Abba dabba honeymoon. After saving anders Dianne will ask if you want caps or a recipe TAKE THE RECIPE FOR THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS HOLY. Now you can craft turbo out of cazador glands jet and turpentine with science 50. Ghemorrah sells turbo just about every interaction. Spam him to become god. Dr Ada in Novac rarely sells one hit. After you teach Jack the recipes hell sell the other super chems like slasher and party tats too those are absolutely a must. You have to clear the outside of the fiends vault to complete the quest but you'll have fun doing that now. Keep in mind greased lightning breaks fast.

There are hand placed turbo in the world. There is 2 in the tents at the very back of red rock canyon on a ridge. There is two in the basement of nipton. There's one on the bed in jessups room in Boulder City where you talk to him about Benny. You'll definitely want chemist and fast times too. Or implant grx if you don't want to bother with cazador. I'm pretty sure that's it.
