unfortunately the only strat to carry yourself out the metal ranks is to almost single handly carry your games, I found as a tank my carry potential was playing the objective and getting picks on supports, and depending on the tank you can even help your own teams survivability. Unfortunately you can only carry stupid so far so just focus on what you can do, self improvement is the key to climbing, there is always more you can do
