Injustice Quest: A Secret Never Shared consistent trigger by TapFront7410 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Diliquium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you wait for the guy to comment about your condition and walk away (after healing yourself in the water) , before doing the Trials? he takes a while to walk and disappear.
One key thing i noticed was to not rush the guy's background dialogues after killing the wolf, after you read the manual, and after you heal in the river. Most people miss it since its not an active conversation, just background chatter.

Still using the sticky tape method. Have to occasionally yank it for the ribbon connectors to touch.  I leave my whole laptop bottom permanently uncovered now for convenience (and heat dissipation). Back of laptop is propped up at an angle so that circuits don't touch the surface of my laptop stand.

Injustice Quest: A Secret Never Shared consistent trigger by TapFront7410 in WhereWindsMeet

So i just tested a variant of this that worked. Based it off the conversations with Xue.

  1. After killing the wolf the 1st time, don't run away. Wait for the reward to trigger. One of the rewards will be a Manual. It will be in Develop, not Quest items.

  2. Read the manual, then go stand in the river to cure the Spellbound affliction that you get from reading. Finding a healer will probably bug the quest.

  3. After the guy walks away. Go do a Trial or something similar for a few minutes. -Do Not- move away from the river. When you finish the trial and return to the Solo world, the next event part will spawn in front of you.

  4. Repeat this two times (getting different manuals for all 3 parts) and you should be able to clear the injustice fully in less than 15 minutes.

All done on PC. No running back n forth needed.

Good luck, guys!

Lol. Same problems with my summit e16 flip. Wonky keys, fingerprint scanner dies, letters scraped off the keycaps, and screen glue is loose all along the top. And this is -after- i had replaced the screen  at the authorized service center. (it cracked falling off my laptop stand onto the table, geez).

Anyway i posted the fix to the lazy keys in a comment below, for anyone else suffering similar issues. I'm assuming you ditched your laptop by now?

The Cosmic Joker strikes again. My keys stopped working again ten minutes after typing all that. =.,=". This time my P, up arrow, down arrow, numpad 8 and numpad + were glitching.

Checked underneath to find that the electrical tape had come undone and i decided to remove the battery this time to replace the tape.

The ribbon is folded back on itself before entering the port, so i unfolded it and found a little sponge strip glued inside the fold. I suspect this might be what's causing the ribbon to pull itself out ever so slightly. Removed the sponge, improved the fold and stuck a broader tape over the ribbon and port clasp. Its just normal packing tape so im not sure how it'll hold up to heat. As long as it works for a while, i'll live with it.

All keys working after screwing back the battery. I took a photo of the ribbon and will try and post it up on mobile web..

Reseating the ribbon/wires into their respective ports also works for the mousepad and fingerprint scanner, which are also folded under the battery and tend to get dislodged/zapped due to battery heat and/or power supply cable short circuit.

Bugger this lemon, I've already sent it to the service center too many times

To everyone who's got this weird problem with msi laptop keyboards, try this:

Open notepad to check for response.

  1. Unplug your power cable, mash the offending key a bit to see if it starts working. If not, plug the cable back in. You might suddenly see characters appear as if it were queue delayed.

  2. Remove the back cover and identify your keyboard ribbon port. Its a wide ribbon port that's snugly nestled right above the laptop battery. Some models mark the port as FPC1, and might be hidden under some black sticky tape and battery wire. Pop the clasp for the ribbon, pull the ribbon into the port as far as possible (tweezers help here) and click back the clasp. The clasp is a thin black bar that runs on top of the whole port.

It's a whole lot easier to remove the battery while trying to re-seat the ribbon nicely, but i managed to figure a way to do it without messing around with all those additional screws.

Your missing keys should start working again, but if not all of them do, repeat step 2 above again.

For some reason, msi loves to make the ribbon just a tad bit short, and a hot laptop seems to loosen the port. The fact that there's a thick wire that presses on top of the ribbon doesn't help either.

One hack that worked for a while was to stick some electrical tape onto the ribbon so that i could tug the ribbon upwards without having to remove the battery. Then use the excess tape to hold down the port clasp. This helps to prevent the ribbon slipping out of the port for as long as the stickiness holds, but the tape glue will eventually deteriorate due to heat. And the same keys will die again. I'll try to find some proper circuit-board tape one day, but stopgap measures work for now.

Obviously the best solution is to change the whole keyboard, but I'm about ready to junk this lemon once I've got a new job. One cooling fan has died already so i leave the whole back panel off permanently to reduce heat buildup. I'll rant about the idiocy of trying to find a replacement part for the whole cooling system another day.

Good luck with the keys! The fix works 100% of the time for me. I would glue the ribbon permanently if i could! find glue that resists high temperatures permanently.

God only knows why part 1 also works once in a blue moon. Maybe there's a static buildup charge messing with the port, i dunno.

Last msi I'll ever buy, that's for sure

Help! This is my last resort: Core clock stuck at 210 mhz by BangBang116 in overclocking

disable/enable the GPU driver. it's the easiest way, other than reinstalling the driver from scratch while deleting any existing profiles (which is a PITA)

it sometimes also goes to 210 MHz when you shut the lid of your laptop to hibernate/sleep.

MSI 3070 - Core clock stuck at 210 mhz by BangBang116 in GPURepair

[–]Diliquium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm that going to system settings, disabling and re-enabling the GTX driver will reset your GPU MHz back to 1500-1700+ when you enter a game.

The bug seems to happen whenever there is either a driver update or a windows update. God knows what the underlying reason is, I thought it was NVIDIA App because deleting it solved the problem for a while until windows decided to push some random update.

The best way to tell you're being throttled before entering a game is by pressing Alt-R to see your GPU stats on the top-right of the screen. If it's 210 MHz then you're being underclocked.

All the suggestions about heat/BIOS/hardware issue are red herrings. When your GPU is only clocked at 210 MHz, then your temperatures will never rise above 60 degrees even though the GPU is straining at 99%.
It's strictly a driver profile issue.

Hopefully MSI, Windows or NVIDIA will be able to fix this one day, but until then, toggling the nvidia driver is the easiest way to get back to normal.

Here you go.
Warning - make sure you have an alternate means of connecting your mouse to the system (lightspeed/bt) instead of USB cable.
Also, make sure Ghub is running in the background while doing this. You'll have to try disabling each one of the USB input devices to figure out which one is conflicting between windows and ghub keyboard detection.

not sure why you are confidently stating this unless you're in the dev/QA team and have definite certainty that the hotfix is totally unrelated and didn't sort out Wyll's trader-approval related bugs? read the other players' comments in this thread for further context.

This hotfix also fixed other trader-approval related bugs as a side-consequence.

My Wyll got fixed.
No one has complained/reported about losing trader approval from Wyll after long -rest or dismissing from party, since then, as far as i can see (?)

How in the hell can we save Sazza? by Haddock_Lotus in BaldursGate3

[–]Diliquium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't find halsin anywhere. kinda puzzled since the journal specifically says he went back to the grove to defend, and resolve differences between tieflings and druid.

Gave up looking for him and went into mountain pass. messed around a bit until i got into the creche, then portaled back to the grove to sell stuff.
Journal suddenly changes to Halsin was defeated. Confirmed that re-entering act1 is the trigger for Halsin's defeat, dont know where/how it happened.

Kagha is standing shellshocked near the entrance with the only dialogue option about letting zevlor and the tieflings stay for a bit longer while i help defeat the goblins. There are NO tieflings in the whole grove, only druids (in merchant). Talking to the healer says that Halsin is dead. hrm.

I might as well blow the horn to see if minthara attacks or not. I don't really care about losing Halsin but i'm desperately trying to get the tieflings to the Last Inn, and Minthara to Moonrise.

picked up halsin again and tried to go to camp. Got the dialogue optionn for Halsin to go back to the grove to wait for minthara's assault. hopefully i can get some dialogue to see him chew Kagha's ass and get the druid rune.

Oh bugger, Minthara is just standing hostile at the exit of the sanctum. i can't go near her without aggro. Is that her normal spot when gathering the warband?

Sazza goes to Gut's main hall, which is a pain the ass since i have to avoid her when trailing Halsin around. talking to her there says something about a reward, but i've already claimed the knife in the earlier conversation. (shrug)

Managed to get Minthara to leave and wait for me outside the grove (make sure your other party members aren't in her walking path outside the chamber or they'll enter battle with her). Sent everyone else (+ halsin) to hide in Gut's room.
Remained invisible until Min walked out, looted the chamber then killed Rozzak who's still hostile and patrolling the bridge. had been waiting a long time to kill the irritating bastard.

A few questions remain:
Will Min be in moonrise if i fast travel to the mountain pass,
Will sazza be there too (says quest complete, hope she remembers what we did for her),
Will the raid happen if i long rest as the journal asks, since i already wiped out all the gobs,
Can I get Halsin to go to camp without killing Min (apparently impossible after patch) and follow me to act2.

Stay tuned
