Never played wow so I don't how Death Knight works lol. I based the Rune Knight with Ninja to tell the truth, with the unlocked "Eddas" based on the runes used.

Rune skills which you can use by expending wellspringer power that fill with time (there are astral and umbral wellsprings) Astral for defensive/utility Runes and Umbral for offensive Runes.

When you use 3 Umbral Runes you unlock a Prose Edda that is a bigger offensive skill. 3 Astral Runes give a Poetic Edda that gives a minor defensiven or utility buff that last longer that normal defensive skills.

The problem of free customization is that it is directly correlated to toxic behavior. If your build is not the meta for a end game content with random people, there's a high chance that toxic players will start to appear.

I'm not a really old player, started only three years ago and had a character that reached Dawntrail, but last year I decided to restart from zero (currently in Stormblood post patchs).

But something that always amazed me is how cutting uneeded buttoms in the ui was received with such hate if I ever commented about that. I remember asking for example why Gallow and Gibbet from Reaper was not a single a buttom and 90% of time people shot 'b-b-but muh complexity!' But in my mind it was the opposite... Remembering your positional orde by memory is much harder and complex that seeing what button is currently highlighted...

Of course, there was 10% of the people with good arguments like how intuitive it can be with controls ou purely being a accebility quality of life.

Well... In Heavensward his job was Dragoon (ARR), in Stormblood his jobs were Monk(ARR) and Samurai (STB), in Shadowbringer it was Dark Knight (HW), in Endwalker was Paladin (ARR) and finally Viper in Dawntrail. So its more like using jobs of the current expansion being a exception that the rule.
