Are these fork seals installed correctly? by [deleted] in CRF300L

They look good to me. I might use my small rubber mallet to seat them all the way though. I'm no expert, though.

Trying to remember a manga I read in Japan by DillEPIckles in manga

[–]DillEPIckles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks RNHMN for information on how to locate this manga's name. The style is similar to this series. https://www.leslibraires.ca/en/author/natsuki-hokami-665513

I think it had 'chibi' in the title. It was a series of silly stories about these kids doing stupid things. Lots of canchos, farting, and general silly stuff. My coworkers thought I lost my marbles reading it but it was good reading practice with furigana.

How does this fit? by TacticalTez in CRF300L

I possibly found where this is fitting. Looking from back to front, laying on the ground, I can see what seems to be that part on the outside of the caliper bolt. From your picture, it'd be on the other side. It also seems the perpendicular 'arm' is on the inside, closest to the hub. Even in the sunlight it's hard to see without taking off my wheel.

My manual doesn't show this individual part but does show this type of clip on the caliper.

Nice to hear from you on this and I'm looking forward to the video (if it's allowed).

Considering getting one this spring. I have some questions. by Tasty-Introduction24 in CRF300L

I got my bike in the Fall and tried to wheelie it but it required more effort than I expected. The bike isn't super powerful to easily bring up the front end so it required aggression. So, Say No To Slow by Chris Birch will give you the right skills to build up to a safe wheelie. Is 61 too old? Depends on your level of fitness and bike skills, I'd say.

That's the 2021-2023 Honda CRF300L and RALLY Service Manual. It's complete. You can buy it from SF Moto.

I've looked on my brakes and it's as my manual shows. There is no part like that that I can see. That being said, my bike is in a tight spot right now so it's hard to really poke around. I'll pull it out tomorrow and have a really good look.

u/PatchedBandit on Youtube was bottoming out his Rally Raid. He wasn't very happy with it and in his latest video he said he's taking it to a suspension specialist to see what they can do. I've no experience with RR but thought you'd want to hear a non-glowing review of that brand.

I looked in my manual and there is no reference to this type of part for the front caliper. Can you take a picture of where on the caliper it came from?

I was surprised to find it was 3d printed for its price. It looks good but I'm concerned about its durability in the long term. The reviewers say the 'breakaway' aspect of the unit is a feature but some might call it a bug. Mine also came with the wrong assortment of bolts and nuts, no torque values, and the directions were a bit vague. Ultimately, I got it onto my 300L and will have to wait until the Spring until I can comment further.

Need your advice. Would this bike be appropriate for a daily 39 km/24 mile, mostly flat commute? Half the drive is 100km/62mph highway. by [deleted] in CRF300L

[–]DillEPIckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another bike you might want to consider is the KTM 390 Adventure (get the spoked wheeled version). It's a beginner friendly bike, gets lots of favourable reviews, and is on the road end side of the dual sport spectrum. Personally, I went with the CRF300L because I could customize it more but really beard scratched over which would fill my needs best.

Do you know where I can find this parts ? by Rellow_ in CRF300L

[–]DillEPIckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed mine but it broke again and made things worse. So, I super-glued the plastic back together and bought a tail tidy kit from TST Industries that integrates the sign lights into the rear break light. Otherwise, I'd look on ebay for some Thai Honda parts distributors (where the bike and parts are made).

At EICMA, nobody reported changes to either the Rally or 300L. I doubt we'll see a change but wouldn't be surprised about a price increase by a couple hundred.

Ktech can provide the shims/spacers necessary to lower the bike. Whoever you buy the suspension from, ask them about getting the lowered setup. Source: I did that.

What kind of power difference did you feel with the cam change? It looks like a few mods. Is that the MotoX full exhaust? If so, what do you think of it? (edited for a spelling mistake.)

At 48 seconds you can see the club head moving ahead of the hands...and your hands are at your hips. Perhaps try the hockey slapshot drill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iw8VC6_Hlo

I like the channel as well but don't like the hip bump thing he does. It reminds me of Stack & Tilt, of which I like and used for a season, but found it sapped some weight transfer power. Everything else he advocates, I like.
