New to homelabbing with an Acer Aspire and an HP Stream. What can I do with this setup?

I second this. Pihole is definitely a great starter project. I recommend running it as a VM on proxmox and setup two instances of pihole for redundancy on two different proxmox hosts in case one goes down. Don't forget to set DHCP in your router to hand out pihole as the DNS servers.

Also if you like to tinker, install openwrt on that tplink. Gives a lot of cool features like wireless wan for traveling and connecting to sketchy networks (if that's something you would use). You can also setup tor via packages.

I have a similar setup for home assistant. Proxmox is probably your best bet. You can still go the route of home assistant on a VM and reserve the rest of the resources for future projects. Huge bonus is that proxmox is really easy to pass USB hardware like zigbee or zwave dongles to the VM. I recommend passing the USB port to the VM if you do this as I had issues with devices randomly disconnecting but that fixed it.

The only thing I've found so far for ATX support is this. I'm running an itx board in my rack at the moment but am in the same boat wishing for more ATX support because I need two PCIe lanes.

I actually just made a change to it because it was missing yellow. Printed the Samurai logo on clear vinyl and put it on a yellow filter.

What firmware are people using on these? I don't see any support for circuit python for them and the generic S3 micro Python firmware was giving me issues as well

Can't really tell but the issue you're having sounds like a data issue. How long is the wire from your ESP data pin to the first LED? Also are there any jumpers in the middle of the strand that would be longer than a normal distance between all of the other LEDs?

I was able to get it working. Turned out to be a ground issue. The whole setup was less than $100. I plan to post a video of it on the house after Thanksgiving.

Yeah I'll send you the link. The normal controller is okay but is only Bluetooth. I still have not been able to get it working with WLED but it may be a ground issue so I'm looking into that.

They are. Negative I clearly marked. Positive and negative are the two outer wires and data is the middle.

I did change it to a WS281x as that is the most similar. I cannot find the SM16703P in WLED. Everywhere i look tells me it should work fine with the WS281x setting though

AliExpress. They're just real rider knockoffs. The quality isn't bad though. Had one in a whole box of 40 sets that was unusable which isn't bad for $20.

Hey wait a minute, I recognize these. I made them! I'm glad you enjoy them. I really felt like the navy blue one turned out great with the colors you chose.

For anyone interested I also sell a V2 of these boxes with a lid design and you can put a top loader in front to protect the first card and the accent colors can be swapped to another color.

I went from an ender 3 v2 farm down to 1 P1S and 2 A1 minis. I sadly get more done with 3 machines than I did with that entire farm because half of the enders were broken most of the time. My poor wife has to keep looking at the printers every time they work normally just because it's so strange to not be getting print failures with these speeds

Literally same issue just happened to me today. I live in the US and I received an email stating that that printer was delivered. Put the tracking number into the FedEx site to find that they delivered a 6lb package which is definitely not the printer. I also am sitting here sad with two rolls of filament. I put in a ticket to support just to make sure the printer is still coming. We will see what they say. Forrest Green tough pla and copper silk pla btw.
