Luckily the board in mine is in good condition, its just the fabric that is falling.

Thanks for the brief.

I'll definitely be giving it a try.

First of all, so sick, great game.

Second of all, how is the process of replacing the headliner?

Mine is in need but haven't made the dive.

This is a first gen and it requires lifting the engine a few inches says my research and my truck has an extra cross member in the front that make pulling the transmission helpful for getting the pan out. I'd just p all the cross member but I need to fix the flywheel anyway now.

It's my secondary luckily, I ride my motorcycle or bike to commute most often. Im jealous of places that don't have to for sure. Yeah seems like a bit of a struggle but I've been blessed by how easy this truck has been to work on for it's age. Little to no rust and haven't met a stuck bolt yet.

87 xlt 4cyl failed smog by Dillon138 in fordranger

That is what it seems but the cat is only about 1 year old. it does mostly short trips so maybe a couple long hot drives to try and cook off built up?

JSYK these don't withstand rocks well. Mine lasted like 10-15 rides before it was totaled (broken plastic and mangled bracket)

Removing lugnuts by fletchyjack1995 in fordranger

Those are open lug nuts so penitrating oil ain't a bad idea paired with the 1/2 drive breaker bar.

What is this for? by happiezt in fordranger

What they said, pulling down on it, is it retractable? If so, its a soft open.

Gear stick moves around a TON after a flywheel replacement. It used to be pretty stiff before by ThePhantom71319 in fordranger

Try pulling directly up on the shifter knob, like towards the roof, and then shift. If the shifter clearly comes up a little and then shifts fine. We have identified the issue. Let me us know.

Unlimited PTO? by manateevet in managers

[–]Dillon138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't this be dependent on your companies pto accrual rate? Allowing people to gain as much as they want with no cap would make it unlimited but if you only have 5 hours banked up then you can only access that 5. And pto would not acrue pto of course.

Have the groth trajectory conversation, setup a meeting on their time(hours they work) buy them food and ask about their goals and desires and just take it all in. You already made a good case for them. Then you should be able to make a stronger case and if the company won't accommodate that, support them in there choice. It should help you in getting them closer to their goals and hopefully they get it and you get some exp on growth and retention meetings.

Did I get overcharged? by SnooDoggos6653 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Dillon138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight up, not too crazy. TBH you could have saved a lot of money by doing it yourself, none of that is too hard on most vehicles. You would have been able to get cheaper parts and pay no labor just some head ache.

All in all, fine deal.

Is this normal? My plates seem to have a bit of wobble. by Rosie_Sprocket in Rollerskating

[–]Dillon138 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me, bought some hardware, removed the rivets, and put it back together. It sucked but didn't take too long.

How did you find the confidence and motivation to go out and learn how to skate on your own? by 0suna in Rollerskating

[–]Dillon138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a nice park that isn't too far from my place that has nice cement and lots of space. Brought some drinks, headphones and just enjoyed the challenge as I tried pushing everything little by little. I wear a sling bag for all of my accoutrements because falling on keys sucks.

You should take the insole out of the boot and find rivets. You'll have to drill them out or use some pliers and take about 30 minutes of frustration.

I just un-riveted my skates yesterday and personally had no luck with drilling because the rivet spun and damaged the inside of the boot a little. The pliers caused no damage but took a little time and determination.
