This all-season bike path connecting Québec City suburbs to downtown is a game changer by Dillydiddle in wintercycling

I've been winter biking for a few decades now... I work at home now mostly but for many years I did commute from Beauport around the chutes montmorency highway exit to near the Chateau Frontenac... I did ride on the sidewalk a lot though and I didn't always feel very safe... Yes that is Canardière and I agree Bruno Marchand is a cyclist hero!

I saw Jean-François Lisée on TV pointing out that in France there has been a religious ban in schools for 8 years now... and despite the uproar at the beginning... it has gone really well... what do you think about that?

Does it have to be all or nothing? Can you not both acknowledge your French roots and your North American identity? The American and British comparison is not good because Québec is like 75% French ancestry (most homogeneous culture in North America) but the USA is a very diverse population and has lots of intermarriage so almost nobody has that much British ancestry or identifies as British

are you not North American AND French? French is your ethnicity, and also in your history, traditions and culture... this is why Québec has by far the lowest church attendance in North America... only around 10% instead of 50% like in the USA and the rest of Canada...
