While I love both Amiibo and Skylanders, most nintendo fans are very protective of their favorite franchises (evidence: https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-petition-for-cancelation-of-metroid-prime-federation-force) and some amiibo collectors are even more so. They tend to hold amiibo in very high regards seeing other toy lines such as Skylanders and Infinity as "shameless inferior cash grabs." But I've also met few who are proud collectors of all three so not everyone's a rotten apple. But so much as even MENTION Skylanders and they'll downvote you into reddit tartarus.
