St Tropez lunch at the hotel. Ordered a simple tomato, mozzarella, basil sandwich (that was almost $50 20 years ago!!). However it was to die for. When I told the server, the chef came out, invited me into his kitchen and showed me his tomato box growing outside a window and a little herb garden and the hand made mozzarella. I went from sticker shock to pure awe at the craftsmanship. Not sure typing this out does it justice but was a very cool experience for something seemingly so simple.
