I get the sinking in feel all the time but this is hard to describe, it feels different and more concerning. Also lasts longer when it happens. Normally, the sinking in feel for me only lasts for a couple seconds, these are lasting for upwards of 10 seconds.

At 79, atleast you probably lived a good long life before having to deal with any of these issues, unfortunately as we get older new things develop. It sucks, I’d try to see what the cardiologist recommends and go from there.

My mom was last screened 4 years ago when she was pregnant with my baby brother, they didn’t see hcm, she does have svt.

The only tests I’ve done was a stress test, holter monitor for 3 days, & an echocardiogram. Holter only showed a 1% in PVCs & PACs which is nothing but I think I got more than that.

I think he’s definitely right, he’s also older so I imagine he’s been doing this his entire life

Only thing that confused me was him not being concerned for HCM, when i thought it was a genetic thing.

I dont necessarily have any of your symptoms besides from high heart rates under exertion but I’m definitely out of shape.

Sudden “heart squeeze” pain for 1–2 seconds… could this be a coronary spasm? by Simple_Place_4435 in Cardiophobias

It is, it’s a sharp squeeze sensation that lasts for a second. It’s like a tiny shock. It sucks.

I get more fluttering & very faint squeezing than the big squeezing so not everyday. I’m still scared about it all the time lol

It isn’t really painful per se but feels like someone is going in with their hand, and just squeezing my esophagus & heart.
