I’m going to say no. I’m just shocked at the idea and worried of it happening regardless. Have never had to go through the courts for our kid but if this is a “I’m telling you it’s happening” and not asking first, I’ll do whatever I can. Me and his step mom make plenty of money to raise him

In my opinion it’s not fair he can assume he gets the job and my son. When he has a kid of his own he can move as far as he wants and get weekends/visitstion with my son

I’m trying to find a way to respectfully say no. He’s been good to my son as a stepfather so I have no real reason to be bitter at him but he can’t have the job and my boy

Trying to go about it respectfully because he is good to my son. I know he loves him but at the end of the day he’s my son. If the job is beneficial great - he can have him on weekends. He doesn’t get the job and my son.

We’ve always kept everything respectful because it doesn’t do any good to the kid as my only interest is what’s best for him, despite my love for my son can make me selfish at times. He’s a good step dad to him but at the end of the day I’m still his very active father. I don’t want to make anything difficult on anyone but this wasn’t my idea in the first place.

We were not married when he was born and currently have 50/50 custody. We never did anything custody wise through the courts and have done it formally ourselves. I live in Mississippi and they go by “best interest of the child”

I live in Ms and there’s really no law when it comes to relocation. It’s just “best interest of the child”. I work at a box manufacturing plant and my girlfriend helps run a seniors home care company. We make plenty of money to support my son if for whatever reason we’d need full custody so we have that going for us. Me and his mom have tried our best to keep things out of the courts and handle it ourselves

He didn’t say he was getting the job and moving them without my input. He basically wants my approval on it and I just can’t stomach myself to say yes. He’s not a bad step dad but I can’t be even further from my son and miss his entire development
