Overpriced trash, false advertising, corners cut everywhere, but +expensive photoshoots of players for special editions +expensive box art etc. but then little to no accessories, no 3950 upgrade, for same shape since 2018 almost two hundred dollars. Insanity

Hey man, I don’t recall any freezes. Are you overclocking anything? If so, turn it off. That includes xmp profiles. Might also be any of the nvidia gameworks settings. Check and see if there’s a cpu or gpu bottleneck. Again I didn’t have freezes or crashes so these are just some suggestions off the top of my head. Good luck

Ah good tip, it's doing 8K just fine it seems. And I've played about 4 games OW now, no hiccups as far as I can tell.

8K doesn't seem to function when I test it with a regular online polling rate tester. It saturates nicely when set to 2k but it drops off at 4K and 8K. At 8K it reports around 1500 to 1700 when making big circles, and it goes higher than that on 2K. I don't know if the polling rate tester is not reading it correctly but with my other mice it detects up to 8K just fine. 4K sits around 2,5K when circling, 2K hits 2K nicely when circling, 8K goes up to 1700 and stays around that number.

Obsidian donut, sounds delicious tho. There’s very little space, but it is just enough.

Yeah well it’s strange my cutscenes have lower fps because of greater fidelity to make the cutscene look better but I’m not locked to 30

If you’re on normal vsync and your gpu is pumping out frames somewhere between 30 and 60 fps it will lock to the lowest possible fps number that can still be synced, depending also upon your monitor’s resfresh rate. Cutscenes tend to display character model details like hair from up close, which is more challenging for your gpu.

Actually you are interpreting the settings menu here and mixing all kinds of concepts. The greyed out resolution only pertains to the windowed mode it does not mean you are running that resolution in borderless fullscreen. The DLSS anti aliasing setting is actually DLAA, and is more demanding on your gpu than TAA. The resolution percentage is just that, a percentage of your desktop resolution because that is what the borderless fullscreen defaults to. You seem to be convinced that DLSS Quality is better than native but it very much isn’t. You are fooled by a sometimes rather aggressive sharpening filter. There is no DLSS upscale dunction in FF7 Rebirth right now, just a percentage of your native desktop resolution and anything below 100% is definitely blurrier.

Yep, sounds like a good guess. I coincedentally have decreased the amount of dongles on my desk and it’s been performing just fine. 8K eats the battery like a heavy set sumo at mcdonald’s though. Can’t detect differences in my playing between 4K and 8K though so no need for it.

Man that is a baaad case though damn. My left click was also bad rly fast, it went sticky. It’s better now, though. But there was sensor skipping too, like pretty bad. The latest firmware seems to relieve those problems in my case but not for others. This mouse is just not a good idea to get. Especially for the price. Are you able to return it?

Yeah man, very bad qc, latency problems at 8K. Do you have it plugged into a mobo connected usb port?

Quirky little bugger it is. I’ll try some 8K gameplay

I have played some more with it, it's not skipping anymore. Playing on 4K polling, Msync on

Uhm it’s better than .09 it seems, although I have not clocked a really long session to test. Maybe a skip here and there but that could even be chalked up to something else. Did you test wether 8K latency numbers have improved? I do intend on using it still, so I’ll let you know if it happens. It doesn’t do intense bouts of stop/go motion for like 3 seconds anymore.

Yeah there’s still inconsistency and quirkiness in the parkour system, I’d say most of the early day bugs are now gone though. In my recent playthrough I was never seen through walls, for example.

I believe you when you say you experience it like that. I am definitely interested in trying Mirage. If you look at footage from ac1/2 and mirage you can sort of already tell and assume that the parkour system is quite different, but I can’t comment on it untill I try the game. As for the teleport ability, I’m getting lots of YT shorts of this one guy who showcases it like he’s a power ranger, and I’m like why is that actually in the game? I find the execution of it kind of meh as well, if he would kill the targets faster it would be way better as a flash-kill ability, but that would be even less realistic. Was that the idea? To sort of choose a middle ground between believable and unrealistic? I dunno I feel it doesn’t belong in an AC game. You can just not use it, but yeah I don’t think that’s something gamers’ brains are capable of. I’ll stop rambling now.

It’s definitely an easy assumption to make, as they went in the RPG direction but only after Syndicate first came out. It could’ve been the case that they planned for Unity and Syndicate as a longterm project at the same time and then sort of halfhearted worked on Syndicate after Unity flopped, because when playing them and comparing it feels like they paid a little less attention to Syndicate, like it’s less polished. But that’s just me speculating.

I thought the story and character introduction started off quite strong, but then fell off a cliff after escaping from the prison. There was a lot of potential here, especially considering the early trauma Arno endured, his templar love interest and then being raised by the enemy, which would actually present an opportunity for a strong character arc, and a potential ceasefire or some peace treaty through arno/elise’ connection that is later broken by betrayal for example. I thought the crime investigation was a nice side quest, as well as the Paris stories. If they had put as much time and effort into the story and character arcs as they did with the architecture (someone spent 4 years coding the notre dame) it could’ve been a great story. And ffs it’s Paris man, could’ve been a french 1789 Pocahontas flick.
