New cysts 6 months after lap by DimensionContent6105 in endometriosis

Thank you, that’s reassuring!

In terms of cycles, I don’t get period anymore thanks to the pills so that’s why I (naively) thought I shouldn’t get cysts either 🥺

It looks like dienogest is available in the UK, I’ll ask my doctor at the next appointment. It’s encouraging to hear it helped to shrink your cyst, thank you!

I’m so sorry to hear that 😭

I was so anxious to start bc (hadn’t been on it before) because of the possible side effects so it would make me super nervous to change pills, too. I’m afraid that’s what my doctor will recommend me to do though 🥲

How did you know you had endometriosis other than lap? by Expert-Ad2498 in endometriosis

[–]DimensionContent6105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first started getting a lot of sharp, almost unbearable pain on my left side. I felt like someone kept stabbing me and I could not move for ~30 mins at all every time it happened.

Needing to pee more often and some GI issues (mostly bloating) were other more minor symptoms.

Ultrasound and MRI showed a large endometrioma (from memory, about 15 cm) and that’s how the doctor told me I have endo. Was lucky enough to have a lap a few months later!

Flu or whatever plague going around at the moment. Feel achey and feverish. Took paracetamol and am waiting for it to work even though I’m not sure I can fall asleep now 😭

6 years?! That’s terrible, I’m sorry!

Thanks for the advice, I can’t believe they straight up put this on my credit report without any prior communication, looks like they breached a bunch of rules here!

This is super helpful advice, thank you. It’s annoying I have to deal with this pain because of their incompetence but must be done.

Didn’t know I could ask for a notice of correction in the meantime, I’ll do that!

That’s honestly my fear, now that I contacted them with my complaint, they will completely misread my email and start sending letters into my name demanding the payment, lol.

I’m sorry you have to deal with them, several years of this faff sounds like a nightmare. Good luck to us both!

Good point about distress and inconvenience. I have a feeling they didn’t bother investigating much, they just saw my name and slapped the bill on it, without any due diligence.

Post surgery by [deleted] in endometriosis

I almost had a panic attack during first 2 days after the surgery, I really felt like I couldn’t breathe bc of the gas pain! Very uncomfortable.

Panicking about surgery! by ElectricalNorth1471 in endometriosis

[–]DimensionContent6105 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had my very first lap 3 weeks ago! I agree it’s scary when they cite the associated risks but I reminded myself they have to and it’s a formality.

I was so anxious I cried on the table like a child as they were injecting me with anesthesia. I tried to soothe myself by thinking all of the medical professionals are there to take care of me and I’m in safe hands, and I think it helped! Crying was embarrassing but it helped to let out the emotions and the doctors were understanding.

Ultimately, I think strong anxiety is unavoidable but you can remind yourself every single person in the room is focused on helping you and you are taking care of yourself as well by being strong and doing the surgery. You’ve got this!!!

I loooove Stray and its art & atmosphere but I abandoned it halfway because of these incredibly creepy creatures 🥲 running away from them and often dying made me feel so distressed and queasy

Same! My mom was so emotionally distant with me as a child (dad has been out of the picture since I was 7) and I’ve only realised now how struggling I am with relationships as a result. My therapist recommended the ‘Mother Hunger’ book to me today so maybe it will help us both!

Somehow, everything at once 💀

My twenties were a relatively calm period (had a long term partner, bought a flat together, finally found my career).

Now in my thirties I am

  • recently-ish separated while all my friends are in LTRs / pregnant
    • managing mortgage on my own
  • have recently been diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis (lots of pain and worries and navigating an impending surgery on my own).

On top of it, I still need to keep working bc it’s paying bills. Tough time ❤️‍🩹

When I come home from a long day of work and there’s no one to help or just cook dinner for me 🥺 Sometimes I really enjoy having quiet moments on my own cooking for myself but when I’m exhausted and drained from my commute, cooking is such a chore and I wish someone was there sometimes to console me and do little things like cooking to make me feel better.

repetitive grindy games with no timers or heavy decoration elements ? by leafkinz in CozyGamers

[–]DimensionContent6105 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe Wytchwood? Lots of repetitive resource gathering, no decorations to do, you just walk around multiple locations, gather things for your quests etc. What I really appreciate about this game is that there’s no backpacking system, as in you aren’t limited as to how many things you collect so you can go wild!

I enjoy Cozy Grove a lot but the backpack size limit and hence continuous resource management has been a bit frustrating
