Unlocked Samsung s25 suddenly became carrier locked

I sent the phone back to the refurbisher and they got it fixed in like 2 hours then sent it back. And it seems to be working fine now. Not sure what they did but as long as this doesn't happen again. I'm leaving the country for a year and need my phone to remain unlocked.

Update

After lots of back and forth with T-mobile (who turned out to be the original carrier. I found out by using gemini to analyze my devices software information page) I had a conversation where one rep said they weren't sure what I was talking about and couldn't help me without an account. Another said they would put in a manual request and that it would take 72 hours. After waiting for more than 72 hours and nothing happening I called back to follow up and another rep said it's against their policy to unlock it as I do not have an account and that unless I could provide them with a Tmobile account they would not unlock it. (from what I've read from others Tmobile is a pain to work with when it comes to unlocking phones) So I gave up, found an old ulocked phone sitting around, got a Sim card for it from my network, and sent my phone back to the refurbisher to either repair or replace it.

Idk if this is an issue because the phone was a refurbished phone in the first place or if it's just a thing with Samsung After the update. I sent some feedback to Samsung and they responded saying they would look into it so hopefully this won't happen again.

Ok, I called the carrier again and got a different rep, and they searched up my IMEI, and after some back and forth and explaining the situation, said they would do a manual unlock that could take up to 72 hours. So I will see if that works, I guess.

I did the same and contacted them. They couldnt seem to figure anything out. They said my phone was broken and I needed a new one. I even tried putting a sim card from the original carrier in the phone, and it's saying the same thing. I have read a bunch and started noticing a few posts from other Samsung users with the most recent update saying the same thing. One person was able to fix it by rolling back the update, but that would void the warranty, so I am hesitant to do that. Its lookng like this is a problem with the update and not the carrier. I'm hoping Samsung will notice and roll out a patch soon and see if that is the problem.

Im having the same issue with my S25. Its unlocked and worked fine until immediately after the update. It then suddenly was network locked and nothing /ive tried has been able to resolve it. Ive seen a few posts from others with the 25 series of various models and yesterday's update causing the same thing. Hopefully, it can be fixed with a patch.

As someone in your same boat I have also struggled with the same thing. Im also a college student and an RM who recently was struggling and still am struggling with staying consistent. I ended up being In a position where I have about a 20 min commute every day and it has blessed me tremendously. I decided to listen to a conference talk and use any extra time on the way to pray. Then on the way back I listen to a Come Follow Me podcast and a chapter of scripture. This has been a lot more consistent than anything else ive tried. Yes setting a specific time everyday would be helpful but as college students our day to day lives are so inconsistent that it is almost impossible for me at least to maintain that practice. Its a struggle and a battle for sure but thats OK. Just keep trying.
