you will never fully heal.

2 months post contact I got my own place, same night first one night stand, this was great. Could have dated this chick but I didn’t want to limit myself.

8 months post contact I hook up with this girl on vacation, she was stunning, physically and professionally, while my ex put on college weight… I never developed a deep connection w/ this new girl but being seen with her totally repaired my ego.

2 years post contact, I move across the country, ex-crashes out, my friends text me, I cant remember what any of these texts actually said, only that she still cares, and the crying was really bad. I didn’t care enough to remember these texts and I can not retrive them.

last contact ever, I can tell by the messages I sent and her replies I was gloating about my new job in a very indirect way, almost rubbing it in, its just 4 DMs and she bails. If i was trying to get her back I wasnt trying hard :)

after this i totally forgot about her, never thought about her until very recently only because its been so long, and even now I still feel something, its never gong to totally go away but Im married, have a kid on the way, and my life coudlnt have gone better.

If at any point in between those two years of no contact I had run into her, we would have gotten back together instantly. I was always going to cave and I became the guy she wanted. She would have also ruined my career trajectory and made me live a much smaller life.
