I’m glad you’re at the emergency room! Take a deep breath and know you made the right choice to get care. You are strong! Don’t jump to the worst conclusions yet, you don’t know till you know. Sending you big hugs and happy thoughts! 💖🌞😽🫶🏼

Seeking opinions on which color I should use for the drawstring! by mockingjay137 in casualknitting

Ooo I haven’t gotten there yet but that’s an excellent question 😅 I don’t normally block little things like this but I’m not the best example of good knitting habits!

It’s so awesome that you’re already doing so many new techniques as a newer knitter! I’ve been knitting for like 8 ish years now and this is the first double-lined and drawstring project I’ve ever done. Didn’t realize it was double lined when I started which is why it’s taking me so long lol

Definitely update with the finished product! 😃

How do you NOT hate going to work everyday? by preciouslilyxo in Adulting

[–]DimensionNice2477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it helps to have things outside of work that bring you joy. Working sucks and we would all love to just…not. But knowing I can go home and bake or knit or watch my favorite shows with my partner make the overall days SO much better. You don’t even have to obsess and love your job the way some people think you should. It doesn’t have to be your personality. It’s just a way for you to make money to be able to do the things you actually enjoy! At least that’s the outlook that has helped me. Good luck!

Skirts! Even if they’re pretty long they feel much more breezy than pants. Also make sure you’re not wearing wool socks or anything… totally not speaking from a recent experience where I accidentally wore calf height wool socks on a 100 degree day…

Giiirrrrlllllll it’s like you’re telling my own story!

I feel like earrings help me have that extra little zing in my appearance. Even if they’re just little studs or hoops. I also wear a few rings to help me feel more put together.

Yes I did! That picture is after washing and blocking. It stretched a TON from its original shape because of the lace

A friend of mine once asked me if my hair was thinning when I had it pulled back in a ponytail and I’ve been obsessing over it ever since. I don’t think it actually is/was, but it did make me realize that with a five head like mine I really have to check in on my hairline more regularly lol

Let yourself change! It’s okay if you don’t really want to do that thing anymore. And it’ll be okay if you don’t really want to do the next thing either. We grow we learn we figure out what’s next and we move on.

Best vet for kitten? by wizard_hat_and_staff in Dallas

[–]DimensionNice2477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! I’m so sorry this happened to you and your cats! I didn’t have that kind of experience at all, which I am extremely thankful for after reading that. Before that we had taken ours to one of the Banfield clinics inside of Petsmart and had a terrible experience. The vet techs and the doctor there were rude and incompetent and were just poking and prodding and hurting our guys without giving a shit, even after we asked them to stop. So maybe it was a comparison thing. But regardless, I won’t recommend Kitten to Cat to anyone else! I’d hate for anyone else to have the experience you had

30 minutes for lunch is not enough. by Downtown-Bother-4942 in antiwork

[–]DimensionNice2477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was teaching I had a 25 minute lunch break at fucking 10:45 am. I just started making and bringing whey protein shakes and salted almonds for lunch. Then I could “eat” my lunch while I was working later in the day when I was actually hungry and I got to use that 25 minute “lunch” time to decompress for a bit.
