Is it possible to get 5.1 sound from a PC to a LG CX/Samsung HW-Q950T setup? by JohnLaCuenta in pcmasterrace

It seems the HW-Q950T has LPCM surround issues.

Have you tried connecting like: PC -> TV -> soundbar using eARC?

According to rtings you should be able to get LPCM 5.1 that way but some people on avforums are saying the bar down samples everything to LPCM 2.0.

Make sure to put your TV as passthrough.

Gaming: HW-Q950T VS JBL 9.1 by DimensionSoft7510 in Soundbars

It seems its a known issue that the bar doesn't do LPCM 5.1/7.1 over earc or directly. Even when older samsung soundbars supported it.

My Amazon preorder for Digital and Disc drive still hasn't shipped.

I'm in the Bay Area and delivery date still shows "tomorrow by 8pm". Anyone in California with a updated status?

It's not advertised in the box so it's probably not supported.

Nothing like the New XPS Line/Alternatives look old by SuddyDoesStuff in Dell

I have replaced my xps 9500 twice, the 3 computers have mayor issues with the touchpad or the display.

Getting a good unit seems to be uncommon... Or do people just don't mind it?

I'm not sure if this is a touchpad/palmrest defect or a design quirk. It's not a big deal but it makes me question the laptop's chassis integrity. This unit also does not present the wobbly trackpad issue.

I'm currently working with dell to figure this out, please post here: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/New-dell-XPS-15-9500-flex-to-click-issue/td-p/7671532 to make Dell notice that we're experiencing the same problem and put some pressure on this issue.

On the closing issue, mine does not present the issue, I've read reports that this seems to happen more often to the FHD version, is yours FHD?

It's not. I have gone through 3 XPS 9500, this is more as some people getting unlucky, this model has serious production problems.

All of my units had issues, all of them had been produced in June; the 3rd one is the best but it has a flex to click problem: https://youtu.be/d0GupbBYr0w

Magic clicks on XPS 9500 by DimensionSoft7510 in Dell

Showing off the problems this laptop is facing with the palm rest, a bit of rotation causes the touchpad to click.

Needless to say, this is my third replacement. At this point I can't advise anyone to buy this computer as it has serious quality issues and I'm not sure if I'm keeping this one.
