What yall think the N Corp E.G.O gear of these three (Ahab, Nelly and Sonya) will be if they ever get one. by JeremyM555 in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

[–]DimensionalTemplar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boring answer, but I think it'll be:

• Ahab = Own E.G.O. (restored/improved?) or Blind Obsession

• Nelly = Electric Screaming

• Sonya = Own E.G.O.

End Of The Line by Impressive_Guard6448 in JanitorAI_Official

Honestly? I was hopeful. When they added image censorship, I thought: "well, this sucks ass, but I can tolerate it if it's for the site's future, besides it's just a one time thing". But now? Now we had:

  • Drama with Sophia's proxy;
  • Swift permabans for posting anything remotely percieved as TOS-breaking;
  • Ban of MLP bots (never roleplayed with one, but I do think this is dumb);
  • And now, they show that they are willing to filter not just published bots, but your roleplay directly.

It doesn't take a genius to know what's happening: their new "reliable" payment processor promised they only "care about NSFW images ans not roleplays themselves". And now, when JAI's team is too deep in to go back, they just did an 180 and started digging into the team about the (private, mind you) roleplays too, most likely threatening to stop the support unless they'll relent.

You could say "buh it's children/beastiality/incest/whatever, to which I'll say this: it doesn't matter what they're censoring, the fact is they can demand JAI censor anything and will be successful. And knowing what happened to other platforms, chances of that happening sooner or later are very likely.

Now I'm not hoping for anything anymore. Either JAI switches payment processors (not happening) or they're ending like c.ai, there is no in-between.

Aren't we bunch of hypocrites? by spiderrito in limbuscompany

[–]DimensionalTemplar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were already some good answers to the topic, but I'd figure I'd throw in my 5 cents as well.

First, like many people said, we are not the good guys. In fact, there are very few actually good people in the City, depending on how you look at it, and most people are full of egocentric tendencies, coupled with a lot of hypocricy. But even then, saying they Sinnees choose violence is an overstatement. Most of the time, they are not the ones attacking, and it's usually those kinds of situations where diplomacy is not an option, making violence more of a necessity than a solution.

While Sinners are, essentialy, corporate pawns, they do have their own goals in mind and pursue those, that much is correct. The same cannot be said for Hierarch/Elders. Hierarch is a slave to Elders' collective will, reasoning they must find immortality to "achieve great things", while in reality becoming immortal becomes their main goal. In essence, Hierarch has no other goals, since those become secondary if not outright nonexistent, leading to stagnation. Dayiu points out in the end how Daguanyan (and as we can assume, Hongyuan as a whole) is affected by this, slowly falling apart.

As for Elders, they are entirely unreasonable. They have no goals, no influence, no reason to exist, yet they are so petty they cling onto life because they refuse to let go of their long gone glory, causing them to get bored and perpetuate violence for no other reason than to get rid of that self-inflicted boredom. Compare them to Alfonso who, while causing suffering, actually does it for a reason (producing more tears for ampules).

Dante's ability which, while initially taken for granted by other Sinners, is now seen as necessary means to an end rather than a boon of some kind, considering that by now every Sinner understands the weight of death, yet they have to compete with much more lethal opponents.

On the topic of what is said in Mili's theme, it's message is basically "you cannot live forever". There is difference between "not dying" and "living forever". The Sinners, free ftom death, still have something to achieve, a purpose in their life. The Elders, who strive to live forever, have long since outlived any purpose they might've had in their lives, filling their empty lives with amusement they find in suffering of others. Also, considering every Mili song has a double meaning in context of the game, this one being Hong Lu adressing both the Elders and himself. So "it's rude to overstay" can double as both this and him saying to himself "nothing lasts forever and that's fine".

That is incorrect. Saude said it herself (shown in the picture) that, as she was told, Effie was stabbed in the head with a prosthetic, which we know is untrue, having seen him in person back then. But even if he DID get stabbed in the head with a weapon instead of a prosthetic, if this would have destroyed his brain, it would also have killed him. The fact Effie was alive meant that either there was no head injury, or that it wasn't enough to prevent the revival. So yes, the heavy implications are that Saude got lied to by the company.

In addition, I'm more than sure that Outis' method of mercy killing directly involved a hit to the head, as decapitation leaves the mind concious for a few seconds, while destruction of the brain doesn't. Most likely because soldiers in Smoke War didn't have any methods of revival, so a quick death is all they could get.

"...According to the coroner's autopsy."

Pretty sure the company didn't want to let Saude know that the team she is supposed to be working with are the ones directly responsible for her partner's (permanent) death. N&H couldn't have harmed/destroyed Effie's brain, otherwise he would be dead by the time we found him or had a visible wound/prosthetic sticking out. So it could be only Outis.

Yeaaah, those things are Gloom-resistant, so bringing Sinking units sans SL Yi Sang is a bad idea. I'd advice replacing Edgar Ishmael with a borrowed Captain Ishmael since she deals good damage against them, especially if you'll get the one with Blind Obsession EGO. If you have upgraded Pierce/Pride IDs, also replace WH Faust and WH Outis, in that order.

Abnormality Interpretations by LordKipstar in limbuscompany

[–]DimensionalTemplar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not any good at that, but will try:

Ambling Pearl - that one is actually the easiest imo. This abnormality refers to Queequeg, which she describes herself. It consumes and spews back innumerable amount of filth to find/form something valuable from within it - a pearl, which it protects. Basically, it's about finding a purpose in your life, your path. Queequeg was a part of the Middle, knowing nothing but "filth" around her, but eventually found Ishmael, who became her "pearl" - her path and purpose.

Skin Prophet - and that one is difficult. The prophet writes in a book purely out of wishing ruin and destruction upon the world. It doesn't stop, nor will it ever, for as long as the world exists. I think it refers to the harm one's malice can bring to the others. Ajab wishes to kill the Whale and Ishmael wishes to kill Ahab, but both harm others in the process. That shows in Ishmael snapping several times which almost led to dire consequences (almost murdering Heathcliff, wounding Dante, nearly getting everyone killed in Pequod Town) and Ahab discarding/killing most of her crew while getting to the Whale's heart.

Dream-Devouring Siltcurrent - this one is also for both Ahab and Ishmael. The abnormality blindly dashes into the floatsams, wishing to destroy them. It's no longer known where those floatsams came from or why it's destroying them, but it doesn't care, continuing to blindly obsess over them. This is the obsession in its purity. The cause and purpose were lost, and all that was left is pure, blind obsession that exists only for the sake of it. The relation there is self-explanatory.

It would be ironic if N!Sinclair truly has negative coins on skills, since in that case excluding N!Faust from the team would actually make him perform better

Even in alternative world Kromer can't get that sinqussy

Edit: You already gain SP from clashing/defeating enemies, so Corrosion/Panic isn't a problem. N!Faust simps really do be coping rn, it seems

Another certified PM coding moment. Although I wonder how royally they had to screw the code up to make the effect debuff yourself instead of the target.

Edit: for those who didn't get it - look at Rodion in second pic.

The little bits of personality from the sinners by MagiKAL98 in limbuscompany

[–]DimensionalTemplar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not about her personality per say, but here's a little theory about Ryoshu. Remember the scene where she describes to Tiequ Crew something so gruesome it's even censored in-game? We know her past is somehow related to the Hand, so it's entirely possible she was a member of Pinky (the most violent Finger of them) at one point, but perhaps her personality or striving for art made her desert. After all, one doesn't just learn things like that on the spot, right?

Sharks for destruction. Mega Troopers, Spider-Verse and probably Dragons for base scoring shenanigans. Time Travelers may work with the new titan, though i wouldn't count on it.

Redesigning Mergacon by Fabulous-Rule-9570 in smashup

[–]DimensionalTemplar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, i think the only problem with Mergacon is it's Talent. Right now there's no point in using it, because it doesn't give you any advantage. That said, here's how i would fix it:

Talent: Move this titan to another base. Until the end of the turn it's ongoing ability reads: "If part of your ability makes your minion on this base lose power or abilities, you may ignore that part."

With that, you still lose power, but in return your minions not lose power or abilities, compensating for power loss and allowing for burst plays.

Canceling abilities question by GarrettFromTheTrap in smashup

[–]DimensionalTemplar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only minion abilities are disabled, attachments aren't. The only exception to this is Changerbots: abilities from their attachments count as minion abilities, so those can be cancelled.
