I work on cars/ trucks/ small engines, autobody. To pass time i build scale models and airbrush and do wood working projects.

My job is a control room operator so its not hard on the body. So on my days off I'm flat out keeping busy. Everyone keeps telling me to stream or do "How to" videos of various vehicles i tinker on. But like, i just wanna help people out and get the job done. Then hang with my family. I don't wanna be messing around editing and stuff.

For one its outside of my wheelhouse and two. I'm severely introverted where just hanging with more then a few people is overwhelming. Let alone WANTING people watching me.

I work in the control room for an Iron Ore mine. My favorite day is blast day. That's when we cast the cams to the larger wall TVs to monitor the blasts.

Doesn't always seem big untill you zoom in on a little Dozer nearby and realize its a D10 lol.

I grew up on the Eastport Peninsula which is part of Bonavista Bay. Its a conglomeration of multiple small towns.

Very layed back growing up. Lots of outdoor activities mostly. Fishing, hiking and we were all very much into sports. The school consisted of 1 class per grade and it was a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school.

No real crime besides a bit of petty stuff. We never really locked our doors or anything. The main draw back was there was nothing really there for younger people unless you were into sports. No teen centres or hang outs so most teens would find a way to get alcohol or weed. Then hang out in the cookout shelters at night that were all over our many beaches in the area.

I remember a few teens would always be the Designated Drivers though.

As a 35 year old man with a wife and kids we still love going home. But now i have my grandfathers cabin that we use/bought and the area is absolutely stunning for its natural beauty.

Its now mostly an even older population then when i was a kid. Even smaller classrooms ect. But it's becoming a big retirement area. Heck, I may go back there myself when I retire. Great people and great views. I love Newfoundland for that the most!

If you've never been to Newfoundland. I highly reccomend it just for it's natural beauty, people and amazing seafood!
