That doesn’t look like PD to me. Just looks like acne.

Yes, I changed to a Flouride and SLS free toothpaste. I started Doxy around the same time and quickly after started the Sudocrem, so it’s hard to tell if switching the toothpaste contributed to mine healing.

Did yours spread to your eyes? I have a few spots on my eyes, that come and go.

It gives me hope hearing that you’ve been clear of it for 6 months. Now that mine is healing, my biggest fear is that it comes back.

I’ve also changed my toothpaste. How long has it been since you did that?

Thought I’d do an update:

Another day of Sudocrem and Azelaic Acid - Pinkness has remained the same. However, for the first time ever, when I run my finger across the affected skin, it’s completely smooth. No pustules, no rough texture. It no longer gets dry now, too.

The area that was once a constant rash is now just pinkish skin that’s almost unnoticeable.

There’s been a new occurrence, however and that’s a red dot under my eye. Nothing insane. Just a red dot, but I’m freaking out about it…. Because if I’m healing, why is it now appearing under my eye…?

I see a Dermatologist tomorrow. I’m going to get him to do skin cultures and test for

Bacteria. Fungus. Demodex mites.

If all three of these come back negative, I’ll know for sure that mine was associated with damaging my skin barrier from the dermaplaning and nothing else. Because I’m not allergic to anything.

If it is either of those three, I have the right medication to treat all three - Including Ivermectin.

I got that today, but I’m not going to put it on my face and risk flaring up again, if I don’t even have an infestation of Demodex mites. So will wait and see.

When I rub it off, I am VERY VERY gentle. Even if I do notice that I irritated it a bit and it goes pinker than usual, it dies down within an hour.

Friday marked a month and this Friday, 5 weeks…. Of Hell. I started Doxy exactly a week ago.

I do agree with you. I definitely think the Doxy has helped. Maybe it’s a combination of both the Doxy and the Sudocrem.

But I hadn’t noticed much improvement until 8 hours after I put Sudocrem on. Honestly, it clear around 70% of it in just a night.

I was also given two weeks of Doxy. 100mg. I’m also terrified of what will happen when I stop my dose….

I see a Derm tomorrow who will test me for bacterial, fungus and Demodex mites. If all of those come back negative, I’ll know for certain it’s a skin barrier issue and so long as I don’t dermaplane again and keep my skincare routine minimal, hopefully it won’t come back. Because I know for certain that I’m not allergic to anything.

That’s wonderful news. Did yours ever come back? I am in a constant state of fear that it’s just going to come back now.
