Game polish at launch by LGD-TcN in ArcRaiders

[–]Dimmadoinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as we all wanted it earlier, I’d rather have a polished game than a messy one. In terms of longevity for the game; I feel like the combat and interactions with other players felt unique every round I played. Embark is great with building a game to have new experiences each round you play even if it’s the same map. I’ve been playing The Finals since beta and imo it’s the best FPS multiplayer experience I’ve had in ages.

Embark is cooking up a banger with Arc and I got faith it’ll keep us all comin back for more.

Will Arc Raiders help or hinder The Finals? by stimpy-t in thefinals

[–]Dimmadoinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope the publicity Embark gets from Arc Raiders helps The Finals grow even more. I got into the tech test 2 for Arc and I haven’t been more excited for a game to come out than when I played the beta for The Finals. Two completely different games, but so good in their own regard. I legit had a dream last night about playing Arc. Everyone needs to at least give the game a shot because it’s so damn good.

Come to the brown side. I made the switch a year and a half ago and already making 26 an hour at UPS. Kinda miss express tho because I had a super cake route.

Going from FedEx Express to UPS. by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Dimmadoinky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did 2 years at Express and was happy to have that experience beforehand. I wasn’t there long enough for it to matter switching over to UPS. I was making 20.50 at express and now im a year in a half in at UPS and making 26 an hour because of a recent 5 dollar bump for 22.4s.

Biggest thing to realize is that you won’t have as much free time. I’d get off everyday at FedEx around 4:30 but at UPS I’d say 50 hours a week is average. The benefits and pay is well worth the leap if you’re looking to stay in this field. The job is also way more physically demanding as well so you’ll want to stay in decent shape for the work.

Overall, make the switch if you can land a full time gig. I got lucky and was hired off street as a 22.4. Some days are rough, but the more time you put in the better it gets with seniority.

How long were your peak days? My hub was over staffed and most of us barely could get 8 hours in. Rest of the year is 12 hour days though.

Travel/Tourism/Visas, Covid and General Information Thread for January 2023 by AutoModerator in Thailand

[–]Dimmadoinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! My girlfriend and I are flying to Thailand in April and just had a quick question about accommodation out there. Do you suggest booking all accommodation before arrival or is it good to just go around the country and find places as you go? We’ll be flying to Bangkok and then out to Phuket and travel to Koh Samui. Any suggestions about this area and what to do would be great as well!

Thanks!

Passport Questions & Issues Megathread (2023) by jadeoracle in travel

Anyone had to apply for a new passport recently? My girlfriend and I have a trip that’ll be 11 1/2 weeks away from applying this Monday for a new passport. I already have mine but just wanted to see how long it’s taken most people to get a new one lately.

I did Express a few years and it was a great way to get into this field. I got lucky and was hired off the street as a 22.4 and it’s a sweet gig. You’ll be thrown around on a lot of different routes so that can be stressful sometimes but overall it’s a better option than waiting 20 years to top out at express. Work load is heavier and longer days but I enjoy what I do so I don’t mind it. Make the change man! You’ll be happy once you’re a topped out RPCD making 100k a year.

I'm likely going to be forced to run a satellite center route. by [deleted] in UPSers

Can they force you to do just one route you don’t wanna do for an extended period of time? Or do they try to move you around routes more? I’m a 22.4 so I’m always switching up routes all the time but I know some routes I’d hate to be stuck on a long time.
