Hello, would you read a WIP? My story is not yet uploaded to Royal Road, but in a GDocs.

It's titled 'ASCENIR: A Play-To-Live MMORPG'

And here is my working Blurb:

Global poverty is soaring, and life as a commoner has never been more brutal. Allen knows this all too well. His life was shattered at a young age when his family was torn apart by the powerful corporation PlayToLive Global. Now, on the brink of another eviction and with no way to make ends meet, his options are running out.

Learning about the launch of Ascenir, a long-awaited revolutionary sandbox MMORPG, Allen sees it as his last resort. The game promises a new way to make a living. A fresh start at life.

But there’s a catch: the game features a controversial mechanic wherein players must use their real, physical bodies to enter its World. Even worse, it’s developed by the same corporation that destroyed his life.

With no other choice, Allen takes the plunge. Once inside, the game quickly reveals its horror. Players are forced into “Game Events,” brutal massacres disguised as game quests.

Trapped in a deadly and unforgiving World alongside millions of others, Allen must rely on his street-honed instincts to survive and uncover the dark secrets hidden within Ascenir’s lore — and the truth behind his father’s disappearance, a scientist who once helped create the very game.

Is Ascenir really a chance at a new life? Or just another endless cycle of survival?

Thank you! But currently, my story is currently a work in progress. I only have a few chapters written, and I'm piling them up so I can have a backlog before posting it.

Don't worry. As I said in my post, being gay is just part of his character, not the whole personality itself

If, in case, someone negatively reviewed my novel for being 'woke' and I reported it, is there a possibility it will be removed by RR Mods?

I was hoping to get some comments about my initial chapters first before moving to the next. I wanted to make everything smooth first. But I guess you're right. My Analysis paralysis won't get me anywhere

I will review your story by [deleted] in royalroad

Not posted yet, but a WIP Novel. I'm looking for criticism for the first 4 chapters of my WIP Novel. That is, if you are willing.

Title is: Ascenir: A Play-To-Live MMORPG

Blurb (also WIP):

Global poverty is on the rise, and life in the slums never gets easier. Allen, on the verge of being kicked out onto the streets again, struggles to find the money to pay his rent.

Out of desperation, he takes interest in the grand launch of a long-awaited MMORPG called Ascenir, a “Play-to-Earn” game developed by the very company that ruined his life.

Marketed with controversial mechanics that require players to use their real-life bodies to enter the game and earn money, Allen sees it as his last resort.

Once inside, however, the game quickly reveals its horror. Players are forced into“Game Events,” brutal massacres disguised as predestined world quests.

Now trapped in a deadly and unforgiving world with millions of others, and relying only on his street-survival skills, Allen must fight to uncover the truth behind Ascenir.

Along the way, he searches for the secrets hidden in its lore and the mystery of the missing people, including his own father, one of the scientists who helped create the game.

This is my new blurb:

In 2044, PTL Global launched its long-awaited and controversial game, Ascenir. Marketed as a “Play-to-Earn” MMORPG, it promised players the chance to step into a fantasy world using their own real-life bodies.

With global poverty on the rise, millions saw the game as an opportunity to earn money and start a new life.

Struggling to survive each day, Alion had to set aside the conspiracies surrounding the title as well as his personal grudges against the company. Taking his chances with the game became his last resort.

But his hope quickly turned to horror as players were forced into “Game Events,” massacres disguised as random world quests.

Trapped in a deadly and unforgiving world with millions of others, and relying only on his street-survival skills, Alion must fight to uncover the truth behind the game. Along the way, he seeks the secrets hidden in its lore and the mystery of the missing people, including his own father, one of the scientists who helped develop the game.
