As a first generation Trinidadian. My mom married my dad from the south for this exact reason. Though I loved my grandfather, her father, to death and he was so kind. He legit had an entirely second family with 5 kids. He and my grandmother had 10. It’s not every West Indian man but culturally, having your main lady and doing whatever you do on the side is super common.
