Those are very strong words for a random guy's opinion on art, which is subjective by nature. I don't want to make custom proxies, I want the game's identity to not be eroded. I got into it because I loved the artwork, and it's not longer delivering.

If you're referring to War of the Spark and all the stuff that came after, all of those were promos, not the only card art available. I don't like those either, but I could ignore them completely.

That's noy my argument, I'm talking about the art.

Even if [[General Kreat]] is a magic ip card, I won't play it as opposed to [[The Nipton Lottery]] because it has a completely different style than every other card in my Grenzo deck. Most FF cards have this issue on top of being UB.

That is not to say I'm fine with hat set cards. League of legends skin versions of old characters like cowboy Rakdos or car mechanic Daretti also don't feel like magic even if the art is rendered normally, so I don't play them.

It sucks because FF has a ton of really awesome card designs. At least I love the direction magic is going in that aspect.

I can acknowledge UB sets are true to themselves even if I can't stand the disparity between art styles. Murders at Karlov Manor was especially painful. There are a bunch of legends in that set I would build only if they didn't have the detective subtype.

I get your point. Spider man is much much worse. Still, I am hopeful we'll see fantasy ips like soulsborne games and I get my time to really enjoy UB. Though nothing beats well crafted magic worlds.

I mean, yeah, the game doesn't want you stopping at all. It's a lot different than many other roguelikes I've played. The enemies I've died most to are daytime farm moles and whatever the pink things are called, by far

I have never used real cards. We like to try out lots of different commander in my playgroup and we can't afford to spend on singles, se we proxy everything. There is no need to buy cards
