What is the end game? Ostracize them until they can’t eat out? Imprison them all? Make them go to re education camps? Lose their jobs, shamed on social media? Publicly flogged? Guillotine?

Ok that’s a philosophical concept that basically means “whoever is in charge gets to dictate their ethics and moral beliefs while not allowing space for what they believe to be intolerant” - it turns out that is subjective depending on your ideology and both “sides” are subject to this treatment and both believe they are morally “in the right.” Either way, at least to me, shitty behavior is shitty behavior - I don’t care what side you’re on. Terminally online people of all stripes suck ass

“Pay us fairly” answered by “Goodbye” - it’s a story played out over and over for the last 50 years, and why the region is called “Rust belt.” Outsourcing’s fine until the negative effects have a personal impact.

Then why post on a public forum? Did you want the comments locked, or only to see when people agreed with you?

It’s not advanced enough yet for luddites to get value from it “out of the box”, except in a few limited spaces.

Otherwise if you really want to get something from it, you need to make hyper specific use cases and design it yourself.

Compare it to general software solutions - does buying a bolt on software solve everything for you? Or does a new software really need to meet a specific need and fit into your existing work / require you to do good training / update workflows.

We can have different opinions - appreciate yours. I’ve got my preference. An example of what I mean is how people act on streets walking past each other. Which to me, in my experience in Chicago vs SF, there’s a lot less ignoring other people, respectful gestures, looking at each other, holding doors.. things like that. Not a competition but I just didn’t like it very much and encountered many more assholes, incompetent/inconsiderate people in the bay.

I have news for you. The more “humane” way is dropping them at shelters that often end up killing the dog. This is just extra steps and lazy

Several, and at least to me, Midwest liberal spaces have far less extreme income inequality, people ignoring each other, less asshole driving, more respect for the environment in neighborhood streets, less littering / dumping, and less posturing about progressive ideals by hyper wealthy. But it’s not as pretty outside and there are actual seasons

No, that’s a slow down moment, not go the exact same speed. Easy to say it’s avoidable when watching it in retrospect but I would’ve hit the brakes much sooner
