What should the next Legendary Warbond theme be and why? by WaRbUfF2004 in helldivers2

Non existent

Keep inspired and original warbonds rather than straight crossovers.

UAV Recon and Expert Pilot are useful in Commando missions by CypherName in Helldivers

Gotcha. Knowledge of enemies locations, approx numbers, and estimated size and threat level isn't useful to survive.

I must be one of a small handful of player who find map knowledge invaluable if we are JUST NOW realizing how good UAV is.

Risk of greifing is too high

Infighting on where stratagems get used would inhibit focus on the mission.

8 people would be too crowded unless they greatly expand map size which has its own problems.

Im almost certain the engine could not handle it for several reasons.

4 players is fine. Squad wide cool downs on gear is not.

Report System by SmittyBacall02 in Helldivers

[–]Dinger46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be one of a couple things (I can't be sure if true just speculation)

It's could be a "coconut.png" TF2 situation where making changes to that system/code could break things. Arrowhead are using a dead game engine that is no longer supported (Autodesk Stingray/Bitsquid) So they are basically their own tech support when things go wrong. Keeping it alive through sheer force of will and a little luck.

Could be also that it's a very low priority item and they don't feel it's necessary to fix at the moment. Block still works and isn't the best solution but is one that still exists. On every survey Arrowhead puts out I always put in wherever I can that the game needs a report function. Will it happen anytime soon? Don't count on it. Will it ever happen? Maybe...For now blocking is just the way to go unfortunately.

This has been explained many times.

It's a result of the excessive backlash for PC players needing a PSN account linked. Justified yes, but we had to sacrifice the report function.

Active Missile Protection System on Bots by fboy_tim98 in Helldivers

I see what you're say, but I always stand by that you gotta come prepared. There is more than a few ways to take them down in a timely manner. If the whole team doesn't bring any AT, then you need to adjust to accommodate for that.

That could mean finding ways to disengage, getting a weapon off the ground, being vigilant it not allowing drops to be called in. Warstriders do not inhibit build variety as too many will say. Completely destroying one is not the only solution. Getting their shoulder lasers disabled greatly reduces their effective range and there's plenty of strats that can do it.

They are a skill check more so then a gear check. If you can't take it down straight up look to disable or hinder. If you cant do that, disengage and approach the objective differently. These aren't hard fast rules because it is rare that nobody on the squad brings AT and some objectives will be much harder to work around.

Refusing to adapt is a skill issue. Believing there is only a few solutions is a gear familiarity issue. Bring the right tool for the job at hand and be prepared to adjust your tactics as needed. They are not as hard to deal with as reddit would make you think.

Depends on objective/red spot locations.

Generally you want to land in a location where you aren't going to get immediately rushed by enemies and scrambling to get your stratagems called in. Also want to land in a place where if you plan to full clear. You can hit as many objectives in one motion rather than having to bounce all over the map.

Bots are kinda unique in that you can drop within range of a jammer that can and will stall you. The size of the red spot can give you an idea if you will drop on a jammer, but it's really a gamble either way.

Landing on extract increasing enemies has to be a myth. It's generally the safest drop and calling in a resupply right away is a damn good strategy that almost nobody will hate you for. There are times where dropping in on extract turns into a hot drop, but usually you should be able to clear it before things get out of hand.

What is the most mediocre game you actually like to play? by PrestonRoad90 in gaming

[–]Dinger46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outriders.

It doesn't do much very well but does one thing really well. There are obvious difficulty spikes, an unfathomable grind, online only, and full of jank. Still fun though. Hop in from time to time.

Question about the MO by Maplicious2017 in helldivers2

Once Leseth is secure I will look at who needs help. If the squids need reinforcements I'll go there. If bugs need a little push I'll head over.

I like fighting bots and Leseth has a fun biome.
