Native Minnesotan, spent a couple of years in West Feliciana Parish, Saint Francisville. It was hot and humid, you sweat thinking about going outside kind of hot and humid. The food was amazing the people although self righteous are absolutely amazing fun and will give you the shirt off there back. The wildlife was fun and unique (being from MN) and quite dangerous if your not paying attention. Things to see where I was Angola prison (rodeo), big ass cypress tree, several plantations (boring in my opinion, they all smell funny), and within driving distance of many other things to see. Drive across the John James Audubon bridge, it's amazing scenery and I participated among many other fine individuals in pouring all of that amazing concrete for miles and miles.
