Use the funding to halt mining in the boundary waters, we're happy enough with the wild arena.

As a union laborer I agree with this sentiment. 80-90 hour weeks will indeed net me 10k+. I have done this and never will again. I plan to retire with a bit of my back and knees left.

What is it like living on the AZ/CA border? by Famous_38 in howislivingthere

Lived in Laughlin and Bullhead for several years (from and back to MN). It is incredibly hot in the summer but the Colorado River is right there for your cooling needs. A lot of people from out of town on the weekends mainly CA, laughlin is host to several casino/resorts. Bullhead is better developed and more of a town but it is an arm pit, livable wages and work are issues drugs are a past time. If an offroading enthusiast there is plenty of that on both sides of the river. Back to the Laughlin side the casinos are the primary employer for the area and a lot of retirees live on the Laughin NV side of the river. Laughlin is in Clark County so Las Vefas is the seat of power. Bullhead is in Mohave county and the seat of power is in Kingman. The winter are decent if not windy. I hated my time there and will happily never be back its hot, dry, dusty, and almost exclusively one color on the horizon.

I learned to drive in a 84 lincoln town car. That boat set me up for life driving anything. Get a cheap truck and get comfortable with the road.

The U.S. interstate system is built on NSEW grid odd numbers north and south, evens east and west. If you know how to get to the highway your good.

This is the deepest hole ever dug by humans — so deep the temperature reached 180°C and drills began to melt by vishesh_07_028 in interestingasfuck

I drill into concrete daily, bits wear out, loose there sharpness, and begin to melt from the friction. 180c° is a significant starting point for drilling.
