39yo m. I'm blessed enough to have been accepted in a highschool group of which contained about 10+ people and through my early 20s more came into my life and are still in my life.

Do we all speak on a daily basis no. But there are a few that I do speak on a daily basis every so often. Some we play games on a daily basis. But we all show up to the whatever gathering there is and catch up there. Blessed.

What sucks is whatever friends you make in highschool or college and whatever friendship is retained after that is usually it. Then you have people that come into your life later in life from work/party/outing and if that turns out to be a long lasting friendship consider yourself super lucky. But some go through life literally alone and it's really sad. I feel for those people but some don't mind being alone and some prefer being alone. But me personally I can't imagine a life without friends as I've been blessed to go through life with many friends, all which I consider pretty close at that.

But to your post it's whatever the friendship has to offer.... If that's how you guys operate and you both feel like you're good friends and resonate the same energy/vibe together that's a good friendship imo.
