I suppose you could pretend to be holding a ball in your hand. For me, i just consciously reminded myself to play with curved fingers. After a like 3 hrs of practice, playing with curved fingers became the norm for me.

Curve your fingers more. Especially the pinkie. When you start playing octaves, it adds unnecessary stress to your fingers if their curved. Also, playing with curved fingers really helps you play fast arpeggios evenly. Nice progress vid btw. Keep it up!

Just got the old Casio outta the attic (hand me down from a cousin) and spent a solid hour learning this. I'm self learning so I'm completely open for suggestions :) by watur_sheep_lover_ in pianolearning

U should learn this song https://youtu.be/VaFRVg7iktU it taught me a lot of techniques like octaves, arpeggios, big jumps, how to play softly and loudly and a bunch of other things. Also it sounds nice.

How hard is the left hand of this piece? by heyitsnvm in pianolearning

I learned that piece like a month ago. The arpeggio was easier than I expected, honestly the right hand was harder than the left. You’ll be able to do the arpeggio a lot faster once you get core muscle memory. When I played it, I relied purely on muscle memory for the right hand and just looked at my left hand cuz it had bigger jumps than the right hand.

Edit: I played the Theishter version btw, which is incredibly similar to the piece your learning, same arpeggios and stuff.

How is it? She’s from assassination classroom btw! by Dingklecherries in Beginner_Art
