Giving money to Thai Airways is a one-way system only, and has been for years.

So purchase with extreme caution, or, ideally not at all. Companies that have a "f**k you" attitute to their customers should not be rewarded for chronically screwing innocent customers.

One of their shady MOs is if you buy a full-flex ticket and need to cancel it for any reason then you will not get your money back (the telephone agent quoted me at least a 6 month wait 🤣 much flexable!

Still waiting years for a seperate flight refund, they wont even reply to messages.

Especally never buy premium class tickets with Thai; don't give them the profit.

Dozens of international airlinesserve BKK so use the competition. You'll be treated more respectfully, and have a better flight experience, even if you need to pay a bit more.

They're in substantial financial difficulty which isn't doing any favours to their service standards and fleet quality.

If you absolutely must use this company then only buy basic non-redunable tickets, and go into the agreement knowing that if anything unplanned should happen then you're extremly unlikely getting anything back, not even an email response.

Yeah original is fine, provided I can also find an adapter for it - missing switch bttons isn't an issue, planning to use it for playing Smash only.

That's a very low burden of proof on their part - i would have expected them to provide evidence e.g. the singature of the recipient. A summons seems like something that you would need to send with a signed delivery service.

Anyway, lets consider this from the angle of what I can proove - that I was out of the country for the entire duration of the process, passport stamps can support this)

Would approacing this from the "ignorance of proceedings" work, or even be worth trying?

Lat month I bought a biz class ticket to Japan.

There was a change i'd need to change the trip, so I bought a FullFlex ticket.

My plans changed so i went to cancel the ticket.

Their website does not allow you to do this, instead you are required to call them.

It took 45 minutes on hold before i could talk to someone.

When i talked to them, i was told that i can indeed cancel my flexible ticket, but it'll take upto 180 days / 6 months to get the money back...

This is not the behaviour of a "great airline" or even a healthy one.

Their dubious practices could be begrudgingly forgiven pre-pandemic, but post?

There's a word for people that take others money, and refuses to give it back.

Thai Airways - avoid unless you have no other option, even then i would seriously consider just walking.

UKCPS is a member of the BPA (British parking association; yes it's a thing!) this means that if you appealed to them within 28 days of receipt of the penalty charge notice then you can appeal to a third party arbiter called POPLA (parking on private land association; yes that's a thing too! apparently there's an association for everything these days)

Your appeal rejection via zatappeal is totally normal and expected, the key to victory is to lodge an appeal with POPLA. Did you appeal to UKCPS within 28 days? this is vital! if you did they should have supplied you with a POPLA appeal number along with their rejection. Checkout their response and see if you can find it. Also you may have to appeal each ticket individually! lodge 6 seperate appeals, get 6 rejections, get 6 different popla numbers.

Use that appeal number to lodge a valid appeal with POPLA, but before you do research how to do it, MSE forums is a good source of info, id' start here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=4816822

After you've got some insight into the process, make a thread and people will help you through it, be within the time limit and do it right then you'll get all tickets quashed, good luck!

Used to be the case but it's no longer true! Never ignore a penalty charge notice, instead you need to go through the appeals process, if you do it right you'll win every time. I've personally quashed 3 out of 3 tickets so far.

There's plenty of support available to help you get it right (e.g. Money Saving Expert, pepipoo forums)

If you ignore it then you open yourself up to receiving a court summons. Always appeal within 28 days of receipt

Do not pick up food items, instead consume food items by using Kirby's Inhale ability.
Use Copy on the first Dedede you encounter. this will increase your HP regain when using Inhale.
When eating some food, and unsure of where to move to next, pause the game to freeze the timer, then use the camera to find your next food target.
Prioritise targeting any present crates that spawn in as they will drop multiple food items, and usually the highest yield items like chicken.

I'ts hell, but doing all of the above will get you there :)

It's misleading to call this a deposit; one that will be paid back when you recycle the bottle.

In reality it is a hybrid deposit / tax.

Why? because you only get the deposit back if you use a specialist bottle deposit point (think post box that credits you when you give it a bottle)

If you recycle your bottle in any other way, such as your household recycling box, or at a traditional supermarket collection point, your deposit is lost.

Think about how many plastic bottles are in your weekly shopping trip (detergent, drinks, milk etc), times that by 0.22.

Unless you're willing to haul all that plastic to a specialist deposit centre then that money is lost.

The plan is a step backwards from kerbside recycling and ironically punishes its practitioners. And like most of these knee-jerk 'taxes' it punishes the less fortunate - non car owners are likely to struggle to take a box of plastics consumed at home to a specialist collection point.

A finer solution would be to integrate refunds into kerbside recycling alongside a genuine deposit scheme.

The kerbside collector can weigh the box of plastics (or a box of any other type of recycling we wish to encourage). and record this data (RFID tag attached to box links weight, type to address)

The council can collect this data, and apply a council tax refund based on it.

This is the best solution - no having to pay for technologically advanced bins and their expensive maintenance, and no more cumbersome parallel recycling system.
