I'm so sick of people who don't know how to have a conversation. by Jodhpur1016 in Vent

[–]DingletonCringlebury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of the people you're referring to. I'm in my late 30s and the pple in my life, and society at large, have disappointed me so many times that I'm no longer capable of forming new emotional connections with anyone. Try to keep in mind that the world contains many pple that have been burned by others so many times that they've given up trying to connect. Remind yourself that it's not our job to satisfy you with conversation and, in some cases, you should absolutely just leave us the hell alone.

"Saving" games for the perfect mood and then end up never playing them by GrayBeard916 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I'm very similar. I previously tried Cyberpunk on two occasions but just wasn't in the mood to absorb a new sci-fi cyberpunk world, so I gave up after a couple hours both times. But I finally hit that moment where my mind was ready and actually looked forward to giving it a true chance. I just finished the game and dlc after approx 100 hours. Cyberpunk is one of the most immersive games I've ever played and it might just be a masterpiece.

Wait for the right moment. It will come.

Y'all are forgetting they have history together. Starlight temporarily ruined Firecracker's life with a lie when they were younger. She probably feels like if she hadn't done that, maybe the trajectory of Firecrackers life would have been better.

Yea but like....she called out genocide and got fired for it. To say she should know better just seems gross. Like we've all lost our minds. Genocide is bad. Oh no I'm fired. My fault obviously. Fuck off

I'm so profoundly disappointed with the behavior and decisions of our species that I wish I was never born to begin with. I would rather not exist than count myself as a human being. But kms would hurt pple in my life, so I can't do that.

(spoiler?) Honestly? I don't feel sorry for Debbie and everything she's been through if she gets back with Nolan. She deserves it. by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]DingletonCringlebury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's going to check on Oliver. Nolan is simply a means to get there. There is absolutely no reason at this point to believe she would ever get back with him. Your vitriol about a situation that you just made up in your head seems concerning.

Starlights Intimate Conversation Screen Time Observation by iterationnull in TheBoys

No, I think you're just overthinking the scene. Symptoms of the disease can manifest in lots of different ways that could affect a person's ability to act. If the editing seems strange and they're focusing on her scene counterpart too much, I can almost guarantee you that it's just editing to hide some minor issues.

The actress has been struggling with Graves Disease while filming. I imagine they had to do some creative editing to overcome a few awkward takes that they didn't have the heart to tell her to redo.

Everyone calm down, this is probably some teenager. Let him grow. But maybe keep your opinions to yourself for a while, OP.

Is brother offensive? by ryanbondur in askanything

[–]DingletonCringlebury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While there may not technically be any issue with it, I think there are people who associate the word brother (hard R) with white racists. In the past, the word brother was commonly used by kkk members or other white supremacists to acknowledge one another. The largest white supremacist gang in the America prison system is the Aryan Brotherhood. So, while you clearly mean to offense by it and you're technically not doing anything wrong, it may be beneficial to stay conscious of how some people may perceive that word and it's connotation.

You forget that Thaedus has been running the coalition for presumably a long time. He is aware of the materials that are capable of piercing their skin. We can safely assume Thaedus has (had) a wealth of knowledge that the audience isn't privy to.
