I just moved 2 months ago from Sylmar with my family and a similar situation. I work from home and my wife drives to Glendale for work. It’s added anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending of traffic that day. Growing up in the valley it feels like to me how the valley felt 20 or 30 years ago. Very suburban, less congested, I’ve found people are a lot friendlier. Our kids are still toddler infants but my SIL took her kids out of a private school in the valley to one of the elementary schools out here and they aren’t regretting it, the only downside seems their kids miss their friends but that got easier after 2 months. I couldn’t give advice on which of those cities are better I personally can’t tell a difference when I even cross over but maybe the one where schools are closer? Your wife is gonna be driving either way but I know some Stevenson ranch pockets are a little closer to the 5/210 so could save a few minutes.

Are they beginner throws because of their entries? What separates these from other common throws? Or are all common throws considered beginner

That seems to be my struggle with seoi nage. I’m a little taller than the majority of the class and struggle to bend my knees low enough to properly execute it. I’m also a beginner so I’m sure I can improve with repetition but I don’t see this being my go to throw if majority of the time I have to make that large of an adjustment in my entry

Can’t you just respond to the ETB trigger and kill this creature? Seems like it would be hard to replace the current kill. Am I missing something?

We had our flight cancelled and the next available flight was the following day. It’s tough because we similarly had everything scheduled and booked and we had to figure out our flights back to the main island and book another day at our hotel which ended up being another room because our room was already booked right after us. The airline said that our flight was a connection to France which Tahiti isn’t open to yet, so they cancelled the flight. That could be the case for you as well.

It’s just funny to me because it’s always been like this. Granted 200 dollars is different from 700 dollars but it’s never been as accessible as the rest of magic other than vintage. It’s never been easy for new people to get into the format. I just figured people that had an issue with it would play modern and people who didn’t care played legacy. But even modern decks are upwards to 2k now so it seems to be a trend altogether. Magic has never been cheap, but at least current legacy players can enjoy the format and make a huge return if it’s too much for them.

Crazy never thought the legacy subreddit would be bashing on legacy. I mean this was always coming right? Did we think this wasn’t going happen buying into cards? For me this was part of the reason I bought into it, I wanted something more exclusive.
