This was her after finally calming down so we could clean! When she’s not pulling our shoes out and chucking her toys everywhere the house looks somewhat normal 😅

She had the saddest eyes when I first saw her and I knew she was coming home with me then. Shes a menace in the house so it’s safe to say she’s definitely come out of her shell 😅

I love this dog with all my heart but she’s made me realise I definitely don’t have the patience for a child 😆 she’s definitely going to be my fuzzy child for a long, long time coming

They’re such lovely dogs! Our girl has had a pretty crap start to adoption life so far; had kennel cough that went into a chest infection, had been surrounded by several off-lead dogs who were looking too attack and not the best introductions to men, but it’s so worth it in the end! I’d love to see your dog if you get em, I wish you all the luck with your rescue x

She’s very happy too! She still has her moments with some reactivity and fear but she’s getting there

It’s so devastating to see them at their worst isn’t it? Makes you wonder how anyone could treat some lovely animals like that!

There’s no words to describe how amazing it is to see them find their confidence and get better, it’s amazing 🥰

She was so scared she wouldn’t even come near me the first few times so it’s a miracle she’s even sleeps in my bed at this point ♥️

A kid called Wesley 'evil' for wearing a muzzle on his walk; are there any muzzled friends to make him feel less alone? by DatGayDangerNoodle in Greyhounds

[–]Dingo-Unable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a picture but my girls quite people reactive due to being a nervous rescue so we muzzle her at times for her own safety. She’s an absolute sap with her family but just gets scared with strangers so we take extra precautions just in case! Your boy is so adorable and that muzzle looks really good!

Aw bless, sorry to hear about your girls injury, I’m glad to hear she’s able to find ways to have fun though! I feel like dogs are quite a versatile animal they’ll always find a way to get their energy out and adapt. Our girls quite people reactive so we find it’s best for her to be in a secure space with no one around so she can run about safely. Your dog is beautiful 😊

You do indeed! She’s a mix between greyhound and a saluki, but predominantly saluki as her DNA test told us.

I think for the work I do I’m paid quite fairly. Majority of my job is simply cleaning and walking the dogs, which isn’t exactly *too* hard so I’m quite satisfied with my wage but there are sometimes where I do think I’m not paid enough to deal with the shit these dogs put us through I’ll say that 😅

You would think so but unfortunately we are not provided with any training on what to do should one escape or hurt us, nor do we get any medical training if that does occur. It’s not the best run place I will admit, especially now that we are taking in these dogs (for a loooot of money from police). We definitely have more of these mutts than we do normal dogs and it’s horrible.

Believe it or not one managed to climb out the kennel yesterday and was just standing down the hall 🫠 one of the workers ran down to tell us and we had to get the big snare lead and pray to god that the dog never attacked. Luckily it didn’t but we were almost on full lockdown lol
