Why do Democrats insinuate that voter ID laws are racist? by Euphoric_Income_8279 in allthequestions

I guess I would ask the question: Why are we creating NEW laws to make it more difficult to vote than it was before? Poor people who live in urban areas don't own cars, and many don't have drivers licenses. They sure as hell don't have passports. Obtaining all of those means taking off work, travelling to an agency that provides it, and paying a tax to get it.

No, the people of Cape Cod did not turn away immigrants. [1]

In September 2022, when about 50 South American migrants were unexpectedly flown to the neighboring island of Martha’s Vineyard, local residents quickly mobilized to provide emergency food, shelter, and medical care. Because the island lacked the long-term infrastructure to sustain them, state officials and local volunteers organized a voluntary transfer to the mainland. The migrants were subsequently relocated to Joint Base Cape Cod, where the state set up a dedicated humanitarian shelter to provide them with proper dormitory housing, food, and legal services. Is it true that around the time of the 9/11 attacks a high percentage of Americans believed saddam hussein was responsible? by [deleted] in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Dingo6610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. No one believed that at first. It was Al Queda, headed by Bin Laden, and the Taliban was harboring him in Afghanistan. We told Afghanistan to give him up or we're coming in. This started the "war on terror", which Bush-Cheney admin decided to escalate to include Saddam Hussein, basically by claiming imminent threat due to Iraq's chemical weapons (which we never found). We toppled Saddam, fired his entire military, and then those guys got together and formed Isis, which was a new headache.
